The 2K / 35 mm filmrecorder "FRAMERAIN" made by us produces a 35 mm film duplicate negative (or directly - on reversal - 35 mm positive) from the digital negative or positive data. This duplicate negative is produced on fine-grain Color Intermediate Film (for example - EXR2242) and is exposed so that a code value of 445 is mapped to a Status M density of 1.00R, 1.50G and 1.60B, consistent with the Laboratory Aim Density (LAD) process widely used for printer control. When a print is made from the duplicate negative film, the LAD patch is printed to status A densities of 1.09R, 1.06G and 1.03B.
(The 10 bits of printing density - 1024 code values - cover a range of 2.048 density)
