Vicente de la Garza was married to Antonia Villarreal. They were the parents of Paulino de la Garza. In some documents they are sometimes written as "Garza" only, dropping off "de la". It is still not clear from where they came originally from, but in the documents from Bexar, among the list of men who served under Juan Seguin are: Manuel Montalvo, Manuel Leal, Damacio Galván and a "Vicente de la Garza".

It is probable that this may have been indeed the same person, as there was also among these men a Paulino de la Garza, son of a Nepomuceno de la Garza, long time Spanish citizens from Bexar. Who may have also been a brother or close relative of this Vicente de la Garza.
