Singles Matchplay

Matchplay Competition Rules Members must check the notice board in the North Beach Hotel at every opportunity. The challenger is the name at the top of each pairings. The challenger must give his opponent at least 3 dates to play the match, one of these date's must be a weekend date. If the match is not played by the closing date and no dates are offered, then the bottom name goes through automatically. The singles matchplay should be played on full handicap difference between the 2 players handicaps. Maximum handicap allowance will be 18. ie. If someone is off 27 playing someone off 5 the difference will only be 18 maximum, not 22. A match that is all square (or tied) after 18 holes continues through extra hole/holes until there is a winner. The player winning the most holes claims the match. Winning player to put his name through on the matchplay sheet in the North Beach Hotel notice board.
