The committee would like to thank everyone who
supported the night. You will be notified in due
course as to the amount we managed to raise.
Special thanks goes to all members who made the
effort, all the guests who came along and helped
support the night, to everyone who gave up some time
on the night to do some of the jobs, selling raffle
tickets, taking the bets, collecting in the tickets,
collecting in the race sheets. To big Gaz for making
the betting vouchers for
free
and distributing them to everyone. A huge thanks to
our resident bookie Mr Harding for working out the
odds, Mrs Harding and guests for counting the
betting tickets which meant it was a wee bit easier
to work out the odds. Mr Nimmo (past member) for
giving up his time for
free
to do the race night and the disco. Mr McAdam for
donating the disco again for
free.
To the committee for putting up the main £100 raffle
prize. And last but not least - once again to all
the staff at the miners club for keeping everyone
refreshed without any queues at the bar.
The feedback so far has been fantastic, apart from a
few wee hiccups at the start, everyone who I have
spoken to so far had a brilliant night, so this
looks good for the future.
