Nanzan University

Know all those stereotypes of shining black Japanese heads bent so studiously over their books? Well, minus the black hair, that was me for my first semester here. I came after one year of Japanese language instead of two and had to catch up.
But, it was worth it. Spring semester I got to party hardy--and did it in Japanese!

Kabuki

My fellow foreign exchange students--before they fell asleep at this traditional Japanese play. Kabuki has a lot of history and is well-respected in Japan, but three hours of uncomprehendable "whoooo-uuuh" and "uuuooo-ewww" like sounds tend to get the best of you.
