Hi, welcome to my homepage!!! My name is Chen Jian. Chen is my family name. It is written in Chinese way. "Chen" means "old" and "Jian" means "healthy", so I'm old and healthy. I'd like people call me "Chen" because "Jian" sounds like a girl's name in English. I was born and grew up in Beijing. It is a very beautiful city with a long long history. I won't say too much about Beijing because the website says better. Anyway you should visit it when you've got time and money. Back to myself. I spent my early childhood just playing and going outside. It was the best time of my life, but this didn't last very long before I was forced to go to school. Many years later when I finished my highschool, I went to Beijing University because it is near and the best too. Since I'm not good in literature and so afraid of writing composition, I chose physics as my major. So in the next four years I was quite busy with those difficult physics problems. Again years later I have to choose a new place. This time I chose Belgium. Why? Because Belgium has the best chocolate in the world. And, I don't have to pay for my trip. So I came to Belgium, studying for a doctoral degree at K.U.Leuven. In fact, I worked full time at IMEC, a micro-electronic center. I was only registered in the university. They had divided functions. IMEC offered us equipments and work, while the university offered us diplomas. My study was focused on the reliability of packaging. Our group at IMEC was Micro-System Reliability, a small group. I was lucky because my boss and colleagues were very nice people. We were like family members. Currently I finished my study at IMEC and started a new career at Melexis,
as an assembly engineer. The company makes electronics for automobiles,
so now I becomes also a fun of cars. I promise to make your car safe with
my micro-chips! My hobby I like swimming, running, bicycling, football...all kinds of sports, but I like judo most. I train in Judocentrum Leuven . You can see more information at my judo section. I like travel also. I'm glad that I made a correct
decision to study in Europe. As you can see in my photo section (due to
limited web space, only a few photos are displayed), in the last two years
I travelled all around Europe. I've also been to Singapore once. Now I'm
planning again for my next trip... Contact me If you have the similar interests or you have some
