Ah yes, the insanity that is the end of the semester. Tuesday: Last class of the semester, PHIL 370 was cancelled, boo-yah. Some much time, what to do, what to do. Not work obviously. Festival of Carols, Jimmy and his singing, we were bad. Movie Premiere, it seemed like it went well. Risk, the craziest game of mission risk ever. It lasted like 3 hours, and everyone, had a chance to win. Jeremy came within one country, my last stand on Madasgascar, of winning. Blake came within two countries of winning, Art came within two countries of winning, and I won, first game of Risk won in a long, long, long time, after being beat on the entire game. Then, I watched the team match, interesting strategies in team risk. I made my one move in Nick's place, as the specialist in finding weaknesses. That game ended about 4 in the morning. Yeah, 5 hours of Risk, fun times. Wednesday: Got up at 10, came up with a topic and wrote my paper for World Lit, it was due at 5. Then I wrote my final, or re-wrote, for PHIL. I was panicy and anxious as all get out. I needed to get out of my room. I went bowling with guys from Art's Bible study, it was fun. Our team got crushed, but all the real bowlers were on the other team. I scored 90, pitiful, 114, not bad, and 130, pretty good. I decided I should stop before my arm fell off, I've learned three games is my limit. Plus, I had studying for an 8 am final to do. Hey, I made the scholarly decision, that has to be the first one all semester!

Thursday: Two exams today, yeah, they went as expected, crappy. Anyway, we had the second showing of our video for the girls this time. Brittany keeps teasing me about that now. Then we watched Meet the Parents, since Jen had never seen it. I can't watch that movie, it's too much stress. I had trouble sleeping, thinking about things, current issues in my life, not a good thing when you have a 8 am exam. Friday: Totally and completely bombed my MATH test this morning, it came out of no where. I have no idea where those questions came from, absolutely no clue. Then I went and played full room ping-pong with Kenneth to work out some frustration. Then, we played half-court frisbee, or the box game. It was fun and definately a work-out. Then I went to see The Last Samurai with Kenneth and Andrew. Now that was a good movie. The sword fighting in there was amazing, absolutely astonishing fight scenes. Plus, it had a good plot, good issues, was historical, and did I say the fight scenes were awesome? It was nice having Andrew there so he could tell us how bad the Japanese Tom Cruise spoke was. Then I went back to the apartment and we watched Showtime, a good comedy, a nice balance to the emotional war-drama we just saw. I really should ignore Kenneth's encouragements, they are messing me up, giving me confidence where there shouldn't be, making me misread signals, and put interest where it is not. Saturday: Had a chance to sit behind Dick Gephardt as he spoke today to a national audience, chose to go to Olive Garden with Art instead. "No flirting with the waitress this time Art." "Well, she wasn't exactly the sharpest box in the crayon." "The sharpest box in the crayon?" "Yeah, please don't put that on the internet." Then we played Risk, Art, Kat, Aaron R., Ponds, and I. My mission, to elimate the Gray army, ah yes, the Blues against the Grays, that's what it's all about. Ok, time to go to frisbee, let's kill Kat and end the game. Ice Bowl Ultimate Frisbee. 8 on 8, no subs. The first game was an incredible mismatch, Art and my team had no chance. I ran most of the game, going from cherry picker to defense and back again. "Art, you're really loud." "Yes, that's the point." Chandler didn't appreciate it very much. If he's that sick, he shouldn't have been out there, becuase Art's going to be competetive, that's just how it is. In the second game, I basically got tackled by Chandler, it was on then. I didn't call a foul, I knew it was one though, I just figured I'd get to burn him later on. I had a chance at an amazing catch, but couldn't even get a hand on it. I spent most of the game keeping Chandler from playing safety, leaving other people open. I like being the offensive weapon and then the big decoy. It's sweet. Then, we played Risk. We eventually had 3 different boards going in the Richardson lobby. "What is this, some kind of tournament?" "No, we're just bored." Then, the trip to Taco Bell in the fog mobile. Kat with her annoying feet, Jared being a punk, nothing new. Everybody stop talking. "You're not going to eat that taco." "Oh yeah?" "Yeah, or you'll make yourself sick trying." Then Kat, Anne, and Art joined in the taunting. It was coming at me from all directions, I just broke down. "Oh yeah, trying to outdo Art's corny jokes is what is keeping me awake at night." Hmm, Monty Python or Tears of the Sun, decisions decisions. I went to the apartment and watched Tears of the Sun, good movie. Of course, Nick, Kenny, and Jeremy talked about their martial arts and their guns most of the night, complete craziness. At least they kept the sparring to a minimum.

Monday: I spent 4 hours writing in my exams today. Benson, Ponds, Mere, Jen, and I went out to the Roasting Company to play Trivial Pursuit. "Why are we playing a game that requires thought?" It was fun, I haven't hung out with Mere and Jen for a long time. That's just how it goes. Tuesday: The trip to Salvation Army/Dollar Tree. Then wrapping the gift in as many boxes as possible. Sweetness. Jared Kobe in "A Push Too Far," watch his dating chances plummet! To the apartment one more time. Kenneth, Ponds, and Jared, together again for some high quality movie viewing. Tonight's showing: Bad Boys and then Bad Boys II. Talk about some great action/comedy movies, those two are the best. I was rolling. I talked to Kenneth about things after the movies, like how everything seems to be pressuring me at once: girls, grades, money, grades, friends, girls. Real life has finally caught up to me, so much for wallowing in the dream world of college as I was rudely awakened to the deep cutting reality of it all. I didn't get back to Richardson until about 5, I'm sure my roomate loved that.
