Sounds like a big task doesn’t it? So why do it? Have you ever stopped and wondered about the past generations that left their homeland, family and friends to spend months on a ship sailing to a new and unknown land? Have you ever asked yourself why did they do it? How did they feel leaving the life they knew behind? What was life like on the ship? Imagine if they had written their life story or left a diary, and so a hundred years from now our descendants may be asking similar questions about us too. With a few simple guidelines and tips writing your life story can be a simple and rewarding task. Your life story is your own; it’s up to you how you design it and what you put in it. What I would like to do is give you some ideas and suggestions. I have also included a number of questions for you to ponder over while writing. Maybe one or two may jog a hidden memory.
