Environmental Librarian Environmental Librarianship Organizations and Resources American Library Association The Social Responsibilities Round Table, a unit within the ALA, was developed to address human and economic problems.. Within this unit is a division, Task Force on the Environment. By accessing this web site, you can view information about the T.F.O.E., including key issues, networking/discussion lists. You can access GreeNotes, the electronic journal of T.F.O.E. GreeNotes provides professional articles, and many interesting links for resources, commentaries, discussions, activities, and employment. Another division of the ALA, the Association of College and Research Libraries, has a Science and Technology Section (STS), which provides a forum for science librarians. It publishes a quarterly electronic journal, Issues in Science & Technology Librarianship, which provides articles and bibliographies. Also, there is a listserv available for discussion and networking. International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions has a Section of Science and Technology Libraries, which provides a forum for discussion for librarians in science and technology on an international basis. It also publishes a newsletter. Special Library Association has an Environment and Resource Management Division, which is committed to the creation, dissemination and informed use of information to support researchers and practitioners in the fields of natural resources management and environmental studies (Division Scope Note). You can access articles from the E.R.M.D Newsletters and join a listserv.
