The Toxic Release Inventory Program provides data on chemical releases to the air, water, and land.
Solid and Hazardous Waste Solid waste is a key issue in the environment as the problem of disposing of it is becoming alarming due to lack of landfills. Now, there are more options-recycling, incineration, and biodegradation. Hazardous wastes include chemicals that are corrosive, toxic or flammable. They must be stored, treated or disposed. Industries and citizens must regulate their emission of these wastes. Control and cleanup are regulated through the RCRA and the Superfund.
