We plan to raise our children to respect others and themselves. We will teach them to be honest and to cherish the important of family. We will support our children, giving them the confidence to take on new challenges and to succeed. We want to nurture our children and help them discover their own unique gifts and passions.
Education is one of our core values. We are both college graduates with Master's degrees. We feel education begins at home, so we will read to our children and help them with homework. We willl enroll them in excellent schools and be involved in their schooling.
Spending time with family is also very important to us. Every year, we host both our families for Thanksgiving. Each summer, we join Jessica's family for a week of boating and swimming at their lake home in Wisconsin. We visit Jeff's parents at their home in East Hampton, New York, where we visit art galleries and go hiking. Other family vacations include ski trips to Colorado and beach vacations to Florida.
Over the years, we have created many family traditions. Christmas is when Jessica bakes her famous holiday cookies and together we pick out a special new ornament to add to the tree. We start all our meals by holding hands and giving thanks for the blessings in our lives. We are excited to share our traditions with a child and look forward to creating new traditions that will bind us closer together as a family.
