The United States Basketball League today announces that the 2001 Post-Season Festival will he held at Stabler Arena, Bethlehem, PA, the home of the reigning Northern Division champion Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs.

The eight-team, single elimination tournament will take place Friday, June 29, Saturday June 30, and Sunday July 1. There will also be other activities, including an All-Star Game, 3-Point Shootout, and Slam-Dunk Contest.

"We think the 2001 Post-Season Festival will be the best ever," said USBL Commissioner Daniel T. Meisenheimer, III. "Pennsylvania has a great facility and an outstanding staff to make it a success."

The announcement was made by USBL officials, who were on hand today for a news conference at Larry Holmes Ringside Restaurant in Easton, PA. The past two seasons, the Post-Season Festival was held at the Bicentennial Center in Salina, Kansas, home of the Kansas Cagerz. In 1998, it was held in Asbury Park, New Jersey, home of the New Jersey Shorecats.

"This will be an exciting few days for the fans," said ValleyDawgs Vice President Sam Unera. "It will be a chance for people in the Lehigh Valley to see the top players in the USBL. The tournament also attracts a lot of NBA and overseas scouts, who can see a lot

of up and coming players."

Friday, June 29, there will be four quarterfinal games. Saturday, June 30, will feature the semifinals, with the USBL Championship game, and the USBL All-Star Game taking place Sunday, July 1.
