NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2001--The United States Basketball League concluded its League Meeting at the Harvard Club in New York City where USBL teams from around the country attended.

The Meeting offered a review of the 2000 season unanimously agreed as the best season in USBL history and discussions regarding possible improvements which could be made to enhance the unique value of the USBL and its franchises. These improvements included: additional marketing strategies to continue the 33% increase in attendance and a demographic analysis of the fans for sponsorship and television opportunities.

The Meeting provided for ratification of the Ninth Annual Post-Season Festival, which will be hosted by the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs at Lehigh University. The Festival will tip-off on June 29th with the Final Eight (4 games), Semi-Finals on June 30th and the Championship Game on July 1st.

In order to continue the solid growth in the mid-west, the USBL has appointed Tom Nelson, General Manager of the 2000 USBL League Champions, Dodge City Legend as Coordinator of the Mid-West Division. In this capacity, Nelson will meet with members of the media in various cities in order to explore potential new sites for the USBL with regard to expansion for 2002.

Since the recent collapse of the CBA, the USBL is now the second oldest professional basketball league only second to the NBA in longevity. The USBL will attempt to attract the fans, players and team owners from the CBA in to the USBL family. As other professional and semi-professional basketball teams fold, the League members over the next few months have agreed to make an effort to attract them as well and add to the overall growth and strength of the USBL. This new release contains forward looking statements concerning the future performance of the United States Basketball League, Inc., which are subject to a number of factors including, but not limited to the ability to sell franchises, and licensing and royalty revenues.
