Children's Musical

PRAIRIE LIGHTS

Veteran director Leah Stoller brings us this January "Prairie Lights", a children's musical written by Susan Lieberman, David Rush & Rosalie Gerut. This warm family musical is based on true events in the early 20th Century. Orphans and vagrant children were gathered from the streets of New York City and sent out West by train, to be adopted by farm and small-town families, in the hope that they would have a better life. The authors have suggested that two of the children were a Jewish brother and sister, who arrive in Wellspring, Nebraska, to be adopted by the only Jewish couple, (childless), residing there. Through melodious songs, the clash of culture and beliefs, the strength of family, the bond of childhood are keenly expressed. All performances will be at the Hirsch Theater. Dates: Wed. Jan. 17, Thurs. Jan. 18 (matinee and evening); Tues. Jan. 23 (matinee and evening); and Thurs. Jan. 25.

For tickets (NIS 70 each) call Bimot at 02-6237000, Klaim at 02-6222333 or JEST at 02-6420908.
