We are in Christchurch, NZ and have a large family presence around this area.
We can trace our family back to Suffolk, England, however family legend suggests that we may have originated in France.
Our family links in 1848 to the Sheldrake family, through the marriage of George Chappell and Lydia Sheldrake in Coddenham, Suffolk. Lydia is the youngest of 4 children, the eldest being Robert, followed by Lucy Ann and Samuel.
Lydia's parents were John (1762-1860) and Lydia (1786-1857). John's parents may have been Robert and Sarah Sheldrick.
