The Forgotten
Episode Thirty-Three
AXEM STRIFE: OkayLet me thinkFirst beat those guysthen... uh then uhdo something

He heard some footsteps, and decided to hide. He jumped to the ceiling again. This turned out to be unnecessary, as it was the Koopas who had broke off from them earlier.

NOTE: Earlier is Episode 31.

KOOPA 1: What happened here?

KOOPA 2: It looks like a battle.

KOOPA 3: It must have been the Axems, theres no other way three Axems could be down this fast, and it wasnt Kipels that took them out.

Suddenly Strife dropped down from the ceiling.

AXEM STRIFE: Heya! Whats up?

KOOPA 1: Axem Strife, Sir! What happened here?

AXEM STRIFE: You dont have to call me Sir; youre not in my military. What was the ques- Oh yeah. I beat these guys up.

KOOPA 4: How?

AXEM STRIFE: I hurt them, and then they became unconscious.

KOOPA 3: But how did you get all 3? Your battle powers must be phenomenal.

AXEM STRIFE: Heres a story

NOTE: Strifes long term memory isnt that bad, especially not this early.

FLASHBACK:

Several decades earlier:

NOTE: You thought you were going to see the other battle, didnt you? Ill make you suffer and wait! MWUHAHAHA!

AXEM STRIFE: And this portion of the tablet says that the home world of this advanced people will be at this address.

Strife indicated an Arch address on a board. The address contained three more symbols than usual; this was because it went farther than any known address. This went all the way out of the galaxy, to another one. This was supposedly going to a planet with some very evolved aliens. They were probably smarter than the Amiryalans.

NOTE: Who remembers who the Amiryalans are? Bet you dont! MWUHAHAHA!

AXEM STRIFE: Ive studied this tablet, and translated it several times. The Amiryalans knew who these creatures were, which is why an Arch was made outside of the galaxy. The distance is why it has extra symbols. It is probably the only one like it. However, we do not know how these creatures acted or why the Forgotten seem to have suddenly stopped all contact with them. We are going to go there, and attempt to make peaceful contact.

He was talking to some of his friends from his world, which was not Bob. He was from another planet, although he could not remember the name of it. He was also not truly as absentminded as he appeared to be. He was actually quite intelligent. He was still a normal Axem (as in no suit parts).

AXEM STRIFE: Any questions?

KOOPA: Why dont we get more help, or at least tell someone what were doing?

AXEM STRIFE: A discovery this big cant wait. What if Iondross allied with them?

This response was met by silence. The group of friends (numbering about 20) walked to the Arch. Strife input all the symbols except the last.

AXEM STRIFE: Here goes nothing

He input the last symbol and walked through the Arch. He was suddenly on another planet. His friends were surprised, as they had not actually believed it would work. They all congratulated each other, and had just enough time to see a figure within 50 paces before they fell unconscious.

ELAPSE TIME:

Unknown time later:

Strife started to wake up. A bright light that was directly in front of his eyes continuously blinded him. He could not see his captors, and could not move. His body was restrained and drugged. He could, however, hear them.

VOICE: Lhik alt j hiag lk

Translation: Memory alteration complete.

VOICE: K+sd kou j-oir qiw x.

Translation: Proceed with implants from the Amiryalan.

Strife could not understand any of this, but he did realize that he suddenly could not think straight. He was pondering this, when he began thinking of food.

AXEM STRIFE (thinking): Whats wrong with me? Why cant I focus?

His thoughts were interrupted, and not by himself this time.

AXEM STRIFE: Aaahhhhhhhhh!!!

Pain like he had never felt raced through his leg. Suddenly, it no longer hurt. He then realized that it was cut off. Something cold touched where it was cut off, and after a few moments he could feel his leg again. However, it felt stronger. Then he could actually see something, a knife of some sort. It took out his eyes, which were soon replaced by some mechanical equivalent. This continued for several hours.

PRESENT:

AXEM STRIFE: Hey! A gof mark!

Strife bent down and picked up a coin, worth about a quarter.

AXEM STRIFE: YAY! I got money!

KOOPA 1: Uh Strife?

AXEM STRIFE: What? Oh, right, the story

FLASHBACK:

After Strifes implants are done:

VOICE: J x#-O-+ lak.

Translation: Begin mind control phase.

When Strife realized that they were done torturing him, he didnt want to stay put. He struggled against the restraints. He easily broke free with his left arm and right leg. He wished the light wasnt blinding him, and suddenly it wasnt. His eyes had adjusted to the light. He broke the other restraints, and jumped up. He saw some form of exit, and charged at it. He couldnt make it budge, until he got really mad. Suddenly his arm fired a beam of energy, which vaporized the door.

AXEM STRIFE: What happened to me?

Some of the aliens tried to stop him, but he easily defeated them. Several destroyed walls later, he was in the open. His amazing eyesight spotted the Arch, several miles away. He immediately took off running. In a matter of minutes he was there. It was the fastest he had ever run. Some aliens were closing in on him using teleportation.

AXEM STRIFE (thinking): Okay, what address to put in? I want some water! Argh! Why cant I think straight? I cant remember the address to my planet, or even the name Ill go to Bob; its the only one I can remember.

He dialed Bob, and turned to look at the approaching aliens. Suddenly his visor flashed some red color, and a devastating boom was heard. Strife didnt stay around to find out what happened. He dove through the Arch. The trip had cost him his intelligence, some of his memory, and his friends lives. All he had gained was the Forgotten suit implants the aliens had stolen from an Amiryalan ambassador several thousand years earlier.

PRESENT:

AXEM STRIFE: And thats about it

KOOPA 2: Manthat sucks. I feel sorry for you. Is there anything we can do?

AXEM STRIFE: Huh? Do for what? Sorry, I zoned out thinking about pencils.

KOOPA 2: Err nothing.

They were interrupted by the sound of guards.

AXEM STRIFE: You guys hold them off. Ill go help with Thunderuhwhats his name

Strife entered the room where Tarn, Inferno, and Over Flame had gone in Episode 31. The Koopas got into position to defend the door.
