| Episode Thirty-One |
| The following day had already come (they returned to Pyrodor with only a few hours of dark left). At around 12 o clock, near midmorning, JK Crimson and Axems Rain, Inferno, and Over Flame went to the ruins. Strife was supposed to leave Bob, his home world, at their dawn, this coincided with the current time. The sun was still low on the western horizon. NOTE: Remember, Pyrodorian time is different then ours. There are 52 hours because of the slower rotation. The Arch began to activate. One of the Koopas on duty reported to the Axems. KOOPA: Sure, it should be dawn on Bob now. This will be Strife and what ever help he could muster since last night. AXEM INFERNO: Just because it SHOULD be Strife, doesnt mean it is. At the ready! The Koopas all got into positions to defend in case it was not someone they expected. This turned out to be unnecessary, but it is always better to be on the safe side. It did turn out to be the planet Bob that had dialed them. JK CRIMSON: Lets see this army No sooner had he muttered the words then the Arch rippled and Koopas started to pour in. They were in ranks, 5 wide and 10 deep. At the head of each of these ranks marched a JK. Every fifth group had an Axem as well. AXEM RAIN: Did you doubt? The Koopas were well trained and disciplined; they marched exactly together. After about 10 minutes of them pouring through, it abruptly stopped. A sole Axem walked through and then the Arch closed and powered down. This Axem was clearly much more than the others who had walked through at the head of fifth groups he was different. He had to be Strife. AXEM INFERNO: Axem Strife, I presume? Welcome to Pyrodor. Im Infenro. This is Axem Over Flame, the JKs Crimson, and you already know Rain. AXEM STRIFE: Well, pleased to meet you err... Whats your name again? AXEM INFERNO: Inferno. AXEM RAIN (whispering): He doesnt have the best memory, or mind for that matter, unless it is focused on military matters. The rest of them were ignoring him however, as Strife was now close enough for them to see every detail, and he was very detailed. His skin was metallic blue, and there was purple stripes running diagonally across his skin. This didnt mean his whole body was colored like that. On the contrary, that coloring fit only half of his body. The other half was like the suit that Bob had worn. Strifes left arm, right leg, and part of his torso were made from the Forgotten suit technology. His suit, unlike Bobs, was colored deep green, with colored lights flashing at random intervals. His face was something to see: the nose and down were normal, but from there up it was like the helmet that Bob had. The visor appeared like it was stronger and would not break. The oddest thing about his appearance was that the inorganic suit-like parts of him were not being worn, they were just inorganic parts of him. It was difficult to tell where his flesh ended and the machine parts began. They took all of this in in the time it took Strife to reply. AXEM STRIFE: Yes, Inferno. Shall we continue on to Aquador? Over Flame was still staring at his body. AXEM OVER FLAME: Huh? Oh yes, lets. AXEM RAIN: Better not to put it off. It will still be night there Rains eyes spoke of pure rage during his words. When the Arch was opened, they sent a small scouting party through. Nothing happened and the time when they were supposed to report back by passed. AXEM RAIN: Perhaps we should send another group? JK CRIMSON: NO! Then they would be lost as well. Its easy to see why they took your planet in the first place AXEM RAIN: Why you little f- He was cut off by the return of the scouting party. SCOUT: Sorry Sir, we were caught in a tight spot by one of the patrols. We had to wait for them to pass. Theres no one near the ruins, excluding a small permanent watch of about 5 people, but theyre all KOd. It appears that the Iondrossers believe Rain to still be on Aquador. I think they thought we were just some people coming from Iondross. AXEM STRIFE: Good work, Borik. The army, along with he Pyrodorians, marched through. Once they were all through, Koopas covered half the island. AXEM STRIFE: Okay troops, go for any prisoners you see, with them freed, we should have more people to help us. Stay in your Gronans. I will attempt to infiltrate the Palace with the Pyrodirans, and take out Thunder Elemental. This is a very dangerous mission. Good luck to you all. Now lets kick some electric butt! NOTE: Gronan is the equivalent of a platoon. As the Axems and Koopas (and of course Tarn) charged to the palace, fighting took up in the streets. An alarm was sounded. They started to run faster and the Axems were outpacing the Koopas. NOTE: JK Crimson stayed on base. AXEM INFERNO: Try to get in a different way and see if you can beat us to the chamber where we saw TE last time. The Koopas veered right and were left in the dust by the much faster Axems, particularly Strife, who was amazingly fast. Tarn caught a free ride on Strifes back, who didnt even seem to notice that he was now carrying any extra weight. AXEM OVER FLAME: Ive never seen anyone that fast AXEM STRIFE: Ive seen faster... only one, but still Inferno blurted out his next question with disbelief, not showing any sign that they were all sprinting. AXEM INFERNO: Theyre some one faster than you? AXEM STRIFE: Axem Fast AXEM INFERNO: Oh Thatd make sense. Okay, Rain. Lead on. They had reached the palace wall. Rain led them through passages, hallways, and tunnels that got them to hall outside the throne room in not time flat. They were no guards or anything this time. AXEM RAIN: He must be in the kings chambers AXEM STRIFE: Or, he just wants people to think that. We should check it out while we are here. The four Axems and one Toad walked across the hall. When they got to the door, they started to pull it open. Rain was without warning leveled by multiple Kipel blasts. They turned around and saw several Axems standing there. AXEM GREAT WATER: Well, hello Inferno. I see you brought some more fire friends for me to snuff out. MWUHAHAHAHAHA! AXEM OVER FLAME: Dude, that wasnt even a good joke. Its like you took it from Jamey or something. AXEM GREAT WATER: I dont know either you or Jamey, but its like YOU took it from Jamey or something, FREAK! NOTE: Axem Snow, the author, ducks under a lawsuit, looks around, and keeps typing. AXEM INFERNO: Okay, that was weak. AXEM GREAT WATER: More like you were weak, wuss! AXEM INFERNO: Uh I beat you last time, remember? And the time before that, too. Anyway, care to introduce us to your friends? AXEM GREAT WATER: The one with green eyes is Axem Destruciton. The other one, with the lightening blots on his flesh, is Thunder. NOTE: Both the Axems were yellow and black, so he couldnt just say the coloring of them. AXEM STRIFE: Okay; now that introductions are over, lets fight. Everyone got ready to fight by dropping into a defensive stance. AXEM STRIFE: I meant just you three and me. AXEMS: WHA- TARN: But youll be outnumbered three to one! AXEM STRIFE: You three run along and battle Thunder Elemental. Ill take these three weaklings, unless theyre scared. AXEM GREAT WATER: More like well take you weakling, unless youre scared! TARN: If you lose, you must never say another comeback that lame again. Without waiting for an answer, the three Pyrodorians slipped into Thunder Elementals throne room, ready to fight. Meanwhile, Strife began his three-on-one battle outside the door, and the battle raged outside in the streets as well. NOTE: Axem Snow does not acknowledge any resemblance between JAMEYS GREAT BOOK OF COMEBACK JOKES and the comebacks within this story. Any similarities are purely coincidental. End of Episode 31 |
