| Episode Twenty-Five |
| The Koopa walked over to a tent to get a bunch of Life Shrooms to awaken his comrades. ELAPSE TIME: Axems Inferno and Over Flame, along with their Toad companion, Tarn, are tied up (with metal chains so they won�t burn) and being held on stretchers. The Koopas are carrying them along a path, toward a destination unknown to the three prisoners. NOTE: On the last episode, the yellow Koopa had said he would bring them to the Great Wet One�s shrine after they were KO�d. Inferno�s eyes opened up. He took in the scene for a moment, and then slowly turned his head, so as to avoid notice, towards his two KO�d friends. AXEM INFERNO (whispering): Over Flame, Over Flame. Wake up. He waited a moment and nothing happened. He then charged up an incredibly small stream of fire in his mouth. He shot it into Over Flame�s face, and it was enough to revive him. AXEM OVER FLAME (whispering): Ok, on five. One. Two. Three. Four. Five! When he said three, both Inferno and Over Flame let a huge firewall that they had charged up. The two firewalls hit the Koopas, and they were KO�d. The heat from it also melted the chains. AXEM INFERNO: We need to revive Tarn. They searched the Koopas� packs and found some Mushrooms along with other useful items. They revived Tarn and untied him. Tarn didn�t waste anytime once he was awake. TARN: Where are we, and where are we going? AXEM INFERNO: I don�t know�. AXEM OVER FLAME: They were carrying us along this path, so this probably leads to the Great Whatever One. AXEM INFERNO: I say we follow it and give him a surprise. AXEM OVER FLAME: I�m game. TARN: Let�s go. ELAPSE TIME: The three were standing in front of a temple or shrine. They went in and they saw a room with a statue of an Axem. Also in the room was a circular hole in the floor. Near the hole was a panel next to it with a few buttons. Tarn recognizes it immediately. TARN: Rings! AXEM INFERNO: Excuse me? TARN: Rings. They are like the Arch. They transport someone into a spaceship in orbit. It must be the blade of this Axem. AXEM OVER FLAME: Do you know how to work them? TARN: Yes, of course. Jump into the hole. The two Axems jumped into the hole. Tarn hit a button on the panel. The hole started to glow and hum. Tarn jumped into the circular hole. A flash of light emitted and large metal rings shot upward at an almost invisible speed. The hole was then empty. ELAPSE PLACE: A large circular room with metal walls, and a set of Rings in the middle: A flash of light emitted and large metal rings shot upward, out of the floor, at an almost invisible speed. Three bodies suddenly filled the hole in the floor. They were picked up out of the hole by an invisible force and landed on the floor next to it. They looked around. AXEM OVER FLAME: So, this is his blade? TARN: Or possibly hers. They are some powerful Axem lords that are female. AXEM OVER FLAME: Whatever� AXEM INFERNO: Which way do we go? The other two looked at the wall and saw that there were two exits to the room. TARN: We should split up. Don�t worry about getting separated; we can use the communicators we got from the Koopas� packs to stay in touch. NOTE: The communicators were some of the �useful items� in the packs. AXEM OVER FLAME: Who goes alone? TARN: Dunno� AXEM OVER FLAME: Let�s do rock paper scissors! Winner goes alone. AXEM INFERNO: That prob- TARN: Yeah! NOTE: Tarn is fascinated by Earth games, traditions, etc. and loves to play or study them any chance he gets. AXEM OVER FLAME: One, two, three, SHOOT! Tarn had rock, as did Over Flame. Inferno had paper. AXEM OVER FLAME: Aww�. Lucky. AXEM INFERNO: Yeah whatever. I�ll take this way. Inferno walked through one of the doors. Tarn and Over Flame looked at each other and shrugged. Then they walked through the other door. Tarn and Inferno walked through the blade for a few minutes. They came to the door that led into the bridge. Tarn pulled out the walkie-talkie like device. TARN: Inferno? WALKIE-TALKIE THINGIE: Yeah? TARN: We found the bridge. WALKIE-TALKE THINGIE: Ok. I ended up in some storage place. Where is the bridge exactly? Tarn explained where it was in relation to the Ring room. Inferno said he�d be there in about 10 minutes. Over Flame and Tarn sat down to wait. AXEM OVER FLAME: 99 bottles of root beer on the wall�99 bottles of- TARN: What are you doing? AXEM OVER FLAME: It�s an Earth way to pass the time. TARN: Really? Please explain it to me. While Over Flame was explaining the finer points of �99 Bottles�, the door to the bridge slid open. A Koopa stepped out. KOOPA: Great Wet One! Intruders! VOICE: Who are they? KOOPA: Gods such as yourself. The Koopa fell over, as he had been shot by Tarn�s Kipel. TARN: I knew taking back the Kipels would prove useful. AXEM OVER FLAME: He must�ve had friends. Tarn and Over Flame ran through the door into the bridge. Standing there was several Koopas, and sitting on a throne was a water Axem�A very familiar water Axem. TARN: It�s you! AXEM H�0: Yes it is. Guards, dispatch of them. The Koopas started to attack, but they all fell to the several Kipels that Tarn had taken from the Koopas� packs. Just H�0 was left. TARN: Too bad we didn�t have two more� We�ll have to beat you the old way. AXEM H�0: It�s very satisfying having these primitives think I�m a god- TARN: You�re sick! AXEM H�0: I will have to use my �divine� powers to defeat you� Mwuahahaha! He pressed a button on his throne and the room started to hum. AXEM OVER FLAME: What�s going on? Suddenly, a larger version of the Kipel�s blast flashed across the bridge. A dome of energy flashed across the throne, protecting H�0. When the light faded, Tarn and Over Flame were KO�d. AXEM H�0: I love this life! Mwuahahahahaha! ELAPSE TIME AND PLACE: An undetermined amount of time later, in another room of the blade: AXEM OVER FLAME: Ugh�. Over Flame�s groan roused Tarn. Tarn�s eyes opened and he kicked Over Flame awake. The two then surveyed their cell. AXEM OVER FLAME: How big is this thing? TARN: The blade? This must be an Alpha class blade�Basically a mother ship. AXEM OVER FLAME: Actually I meant the prison cell�My sight is still screwed up� TARN: Oh� The prison cell they were in was about 15 feet in either direction. All the walls had red light beams going up and down about every 6 inches. There was a hallway on one side, leading away from the cell. AXEM OVER FLAME: What�s this? He poked the laser. AXEM OVER FLAME: Oww� He poked the laser again. AXEM OVER FLAME: Oww� NOTE: Yes, I did steal this directly from Over Flame�s reply to Episode 2. He poked the laser again� End of Episode 25 |
