| Episode Twenty-Six |
| While Over Flame and Tarn are getting their butts kicked, Inferno is making his way through the massive blade to the bridge. He had made it back to the Ring room and was starting to follow the directions he had gotten earlier that would lead him to the bridge. As he was walking down the halls, he started to wonder why the others hadn�t said anything again. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): Shouldn�t they have contacted me through the radio device? I hope nothing happened. Realizing that could be exactly what happened, he started to run. He turned a corner and saw the door to the bridge. Over Flame and Tarn weren�t there. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): This isn�t good� Suddenly, a noise arose from an adjacent hallway. It sounded like footsteps. Inferno ducked into a small room on the side. Suddenly, five Koopas marched passed in full armor. They entered the bridge. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): I wonder if they came from wherever the other two are� He took off in the direction that the Koopas had come from. ELAPSE PLACE: At the prison cells: AXEM OVER FLAME: Oww� He poked the laser (which had now turned blue) again. AXEM OVER FLAME: Oww� He reached towards the laser, but Tarn hit his hand away. TARN: It sounds like someone is coming. They both looked down the hallway, and two Koopas came around the corner. The marched in front of the wall of lasers and stopped. They turned and faced down the hallway. TARN: Guards� AXEM OVER FLAME: Duh� Some more footsteps were heard a moment later. The guards looked at each other and shook their heads. They paid no attention to the prisoners. Over Flame noticed this. AXEM OVER FLAME (whispering): They don�t know whose coming. It must be Inferno. On three� Tarn nodded and moved behind one of the guards. Over Flame counted to three with his fingers while being behind the other one. When he reached three they both grabbed the guard in front of them and pulled them back, into the lasers. They held the guards there until they were knocked out. NOTE: They reached through the 6-inch space between the lasers so they didn�t get shocked. Inferno came around the corner. He immediately crouched and pulled up his axe. AXEM OVER FLAME: Too late� AXEM INFERNO: Ok. I�ll just leave you two to get through those lasers. By the way, those look just like the ones in Bone Dry Ruins. TARN: They are Forgotten� AXEM INFERNO: I thought as much� Anyway, I�ll be going now� AXEM OVER FLAME: Very funny� Now could you get these things off? TARN: You mean you don�t just want to poke them forever? Over Flame glared at Tarn, who ignored him. TARN: Inferno, you need to find a room nearby with a control panel. Just fry all the circuits. It�ll be the quickest way. Inferno backtracked around the corner and entered the first room he came to. It was an armory. He grabbed a pair of Kipels and Over Flame�s axe. The next room he tried had a computer that showed the different cells. He shot a fireball into it. He walked back into the hallway, and Over Flame and Tarn were there. AXEM OVER FLAME: Good work, dork. AXEM INFERNO: Let�s try a battle where I have both our axes, and you have nothing. AXEM OVER FLAME: No thanks. I don�t want to embarrass you. TARN: We sho- An alarm resounded through the ship. TARN: Run! They took off down the hallway. With Inferno leading, they turned a corner that would take them back to the Rings room. However, about a dozen Koopas were running down the hallway towards them. AXEM INFERNO: Quick: the other way! They turned around and sprinted down a different hall. The only one who had any clue where they were heading was Tarn. However, even he only knew a rough layout. After all, not all blades are identical. He had never been in H�0�s blade, but he had fought on a different Alpha class ship. The three of them ducked into a small bathroom to catch their breath. TARN: I�ve got an idea! AXEM INFERNO: What? TARN: We are relatively close to where the main power supply is. If we can get there and I have a few minutes, I can sabotage the power. It�d cause the ship to basically self-destruct. AXEM OVER FLAME: Cool. Let�s do it. The three went back into the halls. After a few more corridors, they entered a large room with massive turbines. There were 6 Koopa workers. KOOPA: Ha vienan. Vas! Translation: The intruders! Go! The 6 Koopas attacked. Two went down to Kipel blasts. The other three were quickly dispatched, because they were not trained to fight, they were just technicians. TARN: Let�s hope I have enough time to work� ELAPSE TIME: A few minutes later: TARN: We�ve got to get out of here quickly. If we don�t�boom. AXEM OVER FLAME: Then lead the way. They continued the trek back to the Rings room. They had to dodge several patrols. One finally spotted them. The three took off running again. They had about 15 Koopa warriors on their tail. They didn�t focus on where they were going; they just ran. Several times they went down a path that was either a dead end or held more warriors. They had to quickly backtrack and take a different path. AXEM INFERNO: We�ve got to do something. Our luck won�t remain much longer. A Kipel blast missed him by millimeters. TARN: I know. We nee- The three stopped in their tracks. The only way out of the circular room was blocked by a group of Koopas, with Axem H�0 in front. AXEM H�0: You thought you could defy me. You are mistaken. Though you may be gods, you are not as strong as I am. The Great Wet One is all-powerful. The �Das Pyra� powers are too weak. You will be destroyed. NOTE: �Das Pyra� is translated �Fiery Twins.� TARN (whispering): Inferno� AXEM INFERNO: What do you want from us? AXEM H�0: There is nothing you can give me besides your lives. Your blasphemy was too far. TARN (whispering): Inferno�Over Flame�Someone! AXEM INFERNO (whispering): It�s hopeless Tarn. They�ve got both entrances covered, and they have at least 20 Kipels between them. We can�t hope to defeat them. AXEM OVER FLAME: Know this H�0: You will die alongside us. H�0�s cocked an eyebrow questioningly. AXEM OVER FLAME: Three words: Engine go boom. End of Episode 26 |
