| The Curtain of Darkness |
| On the last episode, a night of rest was in order�sort of. There was yelling, kicking, screaming (same as yelling?), and Peace was the only one who actually got some rest. Upon the contestants� arrival to the stadium, Jamey introduced a change in the tournament ladder, with Snow going against Mercenary and Peace fighting Inferno. Oh well, whatever! Time to start the semi-finals! -------------------------------------------------- The contestants eat their blueberry pies they received from the last episode. BANGER: There�s still a fly in my soup� FIREBOLT: Let�s just ignore him� Suddenly, a loud knocking noise is heard from outside. EVERYONE: ? VOICE: I smell PIE! GOLDENROD: Oh no�it can�t be� The banging on the outside door gets louder. A few seconds later, the door is kicked down, revealing� EVERYONE: Cobalt?! GOLDENROD: Ah, nuts� COBALT: I thought I smelled pie� Axem Druid also walks in. DRUID: I bet the pie is evil� NOTE: Inside joke from AIM Chat :) PEACE: So�what brings you two here? DRUID: Brief cameos, I guess. JAMEY: I assume you two have tickets� COBALT: Nope! Seeing as I was a contestant, shouldn�t I be able to stay at the Contestant�s Building? AARDVARK: She puts up a good point. JAMEY: Druid wasn�t, so I�m making you two members of the disgruntled Audience. Just kick two random people out of their seats. COBALT and DRUID: That doesn�t sound too bad anymore� INFERNO: Eh, you know what they say: All your base are belong to us. JAMEY: What you say? NOTE: More inside jokes! Mercenary burps. MERCENARY: Good pie� SNOW: And soon to be a good match� JAMEY: Oh right. Let�s go! They walk out towards the arena. -------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile� COBALT: Quiet you. Cobalt throws an Audience Member out of the stadium. AUDIENCE MEMBER: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! DRUID: Hey, that looks fun! Druid throws an Audience Member out of the stadium. AUDIENCE MEMBER: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!!! DRUID: � They take their seats next to Kever and what looks like an evil radish. Jamey turns on the levitating arena and talks to the crowd. JAMEY: Audience, welcome back to the second day of the Tournament of Heroes! AUDIENCE: Yay. COBALT: Are we forced to say that? KEVER: I just say it because all the cool people are doing it� JAMEY: First up today are Axems Snow and Mercenary! They will be fighting for a spot in the finals! Snow and Mercenary jump onto the arena and stand on opposite sides. JAMEY: And�that�s about it! Ready�FIGHT! -------------------------------------------------- The battle begins. AXEM SNOW: 600/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 600/600 SNOW: I�m not holding anything back this time� Snow lifts his arms in the air and a large snow storm covers the ring. MERCENARY: Snow Spray, huh? SNOW: Yeah, works just like your poison, slowly chipping away your HP. AUDIENCE: (Freezing) This sucks for us too! MERCENARY: (Thinking) Since his Snow Spray is like a time bomb on my HP, I�ll just have to finish him fast� Mercenary charges in and attempts to poison Snow. Snow easily moves around in his Snow Spray to avoid Mercenary. SNOW: Gotcha. MERCENARY: Behind me?! Snow slashes Mercenary from behind. Mercenary barely blocks with his own axe. MERCENARY: (Thinking) Curse it! Stupid Snow Spray MUST DIE!!! Mercenary loses 20 HP from staying in the Snow Spray. AXEM SNOW: 600/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 580/600 MERCENARY: ROOOAARR! AUDIENCE: Bark? Mercenary splits into two Axems like he did with Goldenrod. They both charge at Snow from opposite sides. Snow melts into the Snow Spray again to dodge their attack. MERCENARIES: Getting angry already� The day of light suddenly turns pitch black around the stadium. SNOW: (Thinking) Whoa�Weather Channel didn�t say anything about a total eclipse of the-OOF! Snow is taken by surprised as the Mercenaries slash at Snow in the dark. Snow is slashed many times and loses 160 HP. AXEM SNOW: 440/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 580/600 Snow loses concentration and his Snow Spray stops. AUDIENCE: Yay, but it�s still dark� The light of day returns to the stadium. AUDIENCE: Yay. Snow looks upon the Mercenaries. SNOW: Lemme guess�you fight better when it�s dark. MERCENARIES: But of course! The area around the stadium turns pitch black again. AUDIENCE: Aww� SNOW: (thinking) Jeez, not again! Hey, wait a second� The Mercenaries close in on Snow and slash him like before. MERCENARIES: This is kind of fun� They manage to slice Snow�s arm off. MERCENARIES: (Thinking) Oops�let�s hope Jamey didn�t see that�but Snow should�ve lost HP by now! What�s going on! Light falls upon the arena again. Upon closer inspection, they were really slashing plain snowman Snow used as a decoy. SNOW: Gotcha again! Snow uses a Blizzard attack on both the Mercenaries, making sure he catches the real one. MERCENARIES: Ack! Mercenary becomes one and loses 210 HP. AXEM SNOW: 440/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 370/600 SNOW: Lemme guess�you were just warming up? Snow lightly chuckles at his own joke. MERCENARY: � Mercenary materializes a dark orb in his hands and launches it at Snow. AXEM SNOW: 440/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 345/600 MERCENARY: (Thinking) Stupid attack cost. Lost 25 HP because of it! Snow jumps out of the way and throws a Snowball. Mercenary slices it in half and charges at Snow. MERCENARY: (Thinking) He won�t like this� Mercenary splits his axe into five different ones and continues to charge at Snow. SNOW: How on Earth will he hit me with all those� Mercenary throws four of them at Snow and charges with one. SNOW: Oh. Snow uses a Wind Chill to blow them back and runs alongside them. Mercenary catches his four axes and throws the last at Snow to keep him away. Snow knocks it down and fires another Wind Chill at Mercenary. Mercenary is blown back to another side of the arena, while changing his five axes into one. He falls on his back and loses 70 HP. AXEM SNOW: 440/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 275/600 Snow quickly runs up to Mercenary and kicks him on the ground hard. Mercenary loses another 30 HP. AXEM SNOW: 440/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 245/600 MERCENARY: Heh, deliberately staying down�what a great plan� SNOW: What?! Mercenary latches onto Snow and poisons him quickly. SNOW: Oh, shoot� Mercenary raises his axe and slashes Snow before jumping off. Snow loses 40 HP. AXEM SNOW: 400/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 245/600 SNOW: Very clever, Mercenary. MERCENARY: Heh, yeah� Snow loses 20 HP from the poison. AXEM SNOW: 380/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 245/600 Mercenary grins. SNOW: (Thinking) I should stop talking�and thinking! I�m wasting too much time here! Gotta stop thinking! ARG! By thinking that, I just keep thinking! MERCENARY: Is he going to move or wait for the poison to catch up to him� SNOW: (Thinking) Ah, heck. I�ll just have to attack. Snow chucks a Snowball at Mercenary. Mercenary rolls out of the way and fires a black stream of energy at Snow. Snow is hit by the attack and loses 10 HP. He also takes 20 damage from the poison. AXEM SNOW: 350/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 245/600 Snow is blinded my Mercenary�s attack. SNOW: (Thinking) This can�t be good. Wait, I�m supposed to stop thinking and keep attacking. Snow swings his axe recklessly around him incase Mercenary is nearby. MERCENARY: (Thinking) Pretty smart�except I�m standing 50 feet away from him. Mercenary splits his axe into 6 this time and chucks all of them at the blinded Snow. Snow managed to stop 2 of the axes with his frantic swinging, but gets hit by the other 4. He loses 80 HP. AXEM SNOW: 270/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 245/600 Snow�s vision returns. SNOW: Whoa�now I know how it feels to travel through a freaky-deeky world of darkness� AUDIENCE: Uh� Mercenary uses his speed to get behind Snow and slashes him. Snow quickly blocks and shoots a Wind Chill at Mercenary�s face. Mercenary moves out of the way and launches another dark orb at Snow. Snow is hit by this and loses 80 HP, and 20 more from the poison. Mercenary loses 25 HP from the dark orb�s attack cost. AXEM SNOW: 170/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 220/600 SNOW: Man, how did I get behind so quickly� MERCENARY: I believe there was poison, then blinding, then axe chucking, then, SNOW: That was a rhetorical question. MERCENARY: Rheter-what? SNOW: Never mind. Snow uses Freeze Frame and attempts to make eye-contact with Mercenary. Mercenary covers his eyes to escape Snow�s paralysis attack and throws his 6 axes at Snow. Snow dodges them all easily and throws a Snowball. Mercenary idly trips over his own feet and manages to dodge the Snowball. SNOW: � Snow loses 20 HP again. AXEM SNOW: 150/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 220/600 MERCENARY: (Thinking) Let�s hope he�s not using that Freeze Frame anymore. Mercenary uncovers his eyes and sees Snow�s eyes, not using Freeze Frame. MERCENARY: Whew� Mercenary throws his axes once more at Snow. Snow dodges them all and they return to Mercenary. Mercenary changes his axe back to one and blasts dark energy shards at Snow. SNOW: Enough with the projectiles! Snow dodges all but one shard and loses 40 HP. AXEM SNOW: 110/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 220/600 MERCENARY: And now, the big finale! SNOW: Uh oh� Mercenary concentrates his energy and loses half of his HP. AXEM SNOW: 110/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 110/600 His body begins to radiate dark power. MERCENARY: Hehehe� Snow throws Snowballs to stop Mercenary. MERCENARY: Futile. Mercenary�s stored energy is unleashed towards Snow, vaporizing the Snowballs on the way. SNOW: Not good. RUN! Snow runs away to avoid the attack. MERCENARY: Uh huh� The attack changes direction toward Snow. SNOW: Ah, nuts�a homing attack� The attack engulfs Snow and saps the rest of his HP. AXEM SNOW: 0/600 AXEM MERCENARY: 110/600 MERCENARY: Ooh, that means I advance to the finals� END OF EPISODE SEVEN NOTE: Those of you who expected Snow to win were wrong! MWAHAHA!
