| February 28, 2003 - I had my 34 week check-up today. Wow I can't believe that I've come this far!! My blood pressure was still a little high but the doctor wasn't too concerned. We discussed my on going pain in my front pelvis area. I was given Tylenol 3 and told again to stay off my feet!! The doctor mentioned that if things don't improve for me pain wise that we may need to discuss inducing me a little early!! Next appt March 14th. March 14, 2003 - 36 week appt already! Wow, time is finally starting to fly by!! My blood pressure is finally back to its normal range. However my pain is still increasing!! Now the doctor has me on Percocet and Kyle isn't happy about that. I've made a deal with Kyle that I'll only take it when the pain is absolutely unbearable for me and at night so that I can hopefully start getting some sleep at night. I had my first cervical check today also. I was shocked to learn that I was already 3 cm dilated. I thought that was pretty amazing since I haven't noticed any contractions!! I guess it's time to get that bag packed and ready to go!! Yahoo!! Next appt scheduled for March 28th (but the doctor gave the impression that she didn't think I'd go that far!!). March 18, 2003 - 37 weeks today!! Yahoo!! Dakota would be considered full term if he came now! Come on Dakota - your room is ready, clothes are washed and Mommy and Daddy are ready to hold you!! Heck, even Sonny and Satori are excited!! March 27, 2003 - Well, still no Dakota but I've had several requests for belly pics. WARNING: Laughter will not be tolerated!! Scary pics. March 28, 2003 - 38 weeks and still no Dakota!! I had another appt today. I'm still 3cm dilated. Since I've been on pain meds for so long the doctor says she'll induce me at 39 weeks!! Hooray!! In an attempt to get me to go into labor naturally, the doctor did strip my membranes. We'll see if it works. Next appt is April 1st. April 1, 2003 - Stripping my membranes didn't help too much because I made it to my appt today!! But in the past few days I managed to dilate to 4cm. I'm 39 weeks today so the doctor decides to go ahead and induce labor. I am scheduled to arrive at the hospital at 7 am on Thursday, April 3, 2003. |
