My essay : Nationalism, Establish Indonesia to be Better

What do you think about word of “Nationalism”, especially for Indonesian ? Well, nowadays, most of Indonesian have a tendency to answer “Nationalism is not really important and that is the word wich does not matter. It is only the word that used on old era ! ” .   As a result, many Indonesian people who does not care about their own country and they are more concerned with other countries rather than Indonesia country. This is the reality that is happening in Indonesia. Example, as we know that many Indonesian people who use the product more abroad than domestically and they assume that Indonesian products have poor quality, so they were reluctant to use Indonesia product . As another example, many of today's young Indonesian who prefer to learn the culture of other countries than their own diverse Indonesian culture which is more colorful. God knows what is wrong with the people of Indonesia today, but that is the reality we are facing right now. Many of decline compared to the independence era filled with high morale and a high sense of nationalism became a fashion with low morale so even with a sense of nationalism. We must be prepared and patient with all of these.

In the first place, the example above is the seeds of the absence of a sense of nationalism that will eventually develop into an even worse and might destroy Indonesia in the future, which is not expected by many people. But that does not mean it is not likely to occur in Indonesia, that at the current rate, the destruction or collapse of the Indonesian state is normal and is very closer to occur. We can not allow this to happen, we must try to avoid fragmentation of Indonesia country. Moreover, if we just let this happen without any action, there will be efforts to split in several regions in Indonesia has happened so often before. Do we still remember the "Operasi Papua Merdeka (OPM)" or "Gerakan Aceh Merdeka(GAM)" ? What we want this to happen again ? Of course we do not want to happen again.

I have concluded there are several factors that led to the decline of nationalism, that is :

1. No Sense Belonging

example of a story: it tells Alfred during his childhood when he lack of understanding habit diligently organize and clean the house of his mother, but no maid. after Alfred now own their own home, he did the same thing. he realized, his mother who diligently because they felt the house was his, not the servant, so he is fully responsible for the cleanliness and order in the house.

But how to foster nationalism in society like the story above?

2. Was Not A Leader

A leader is optional, do not have to have a position. Unfortunately there are many people who have the wrong mindset. They assume that the so-called leaders are those who have a position. So that in the brain, shoulders and legs of those who should be responsible for what happens in their area. So the real leaders are those who can mobilize others to make changes.

But unfortunately the training towards it almost does not exist!

3. Challenges or problems do not come from people who certainly there are cons, but more sad is the internal conflict. usually internal conflict sparked one personnel move to the "social movements" or make their own movements. problem in a new place, they will definitely be experiencing the same thing. Although not only that the cause, there are another causes too. Example of other causes of the loss of a sense of nationalism is governments usually do not pay attention to the people in the border region. Because of this many people at the border trying to find a better life and if they need to break away from Indonesia. So they got a decent living. So the government should also give their affection to the people at the border. At least this way will make them have a sense of nationalism in them.

At the end, as far as I am concerned, I have offered solutions and recommendations. First for the community:

 To be able to develop a sense of nationalism in the nation and the state can do a variety of roles and the parties in accordance with

their respective professions and are clearly needed self-awareness of the person. That needs to realize that we live in the country of

Indonesia which consists of various tribes religion and language in a complex society is supposed to be in life we have shared interests

and prioritizing are stateless.

The school has a very important role to inculcate nationalism to the students the next generation. In the schools, especially in the subject

matter Citizenship, History plays an important role in growing nationalism. In addition to the subject matter in school activities was also a sense

of nationalism planting ceremony treasurer one is where a lot of moments of nationalism as tribute flag, sing Indonesia Raya, a moment of

silence and more. Then need to re-teach the songs Nationality in the art of sound so that all students are able to sing a variety of songs Nat.

With a solemn sung the national anthem will display a sense of pride in the nation. It is heavy work for educational institutions in improving

youth nationalism. We should begin to awaken our students a sense of nationalism because it is our shared responsibility.

Second for the governments :

government must socialize nationalism to younger generations so that all of Indonesian nationalism was not forgotten. The values ​​of

nationalism among young people have started to fade. In fact, nationalism and love of country has invested in the school. Erosion of

nationalism among young people because of the pervasiveness of liberalization in the country.

"Today young people are seduced by the pattern of liberalization, with the influx of foreign culture. The pattern of liberalization has been

very wounded nationalism among the youth. Nowadays, people want to look heroic, but taking a role model of a foreign culture, such as

At the end, the success of this solutions in the future is a form of participation of all Indonesian in keeping and rising their nationalism. I hope this solutions can be the best model how to rising our nationalism to our beloved country and make a change to our country to be better.
