Adventures in Chatwin

The Vibrant Village of Chatwin is a town of my own creation set in the more famous World of Greyhawk (TM) setting. It is home to many adventuring groups in my AD&D campaign. This page contains information on those groups who adventure in Chatwin PBEM style. Presently, there is but one active group, The Seekers. The Femmes Fatales completed two adventures before going their separate ways.. Below, you can find descriptions of the characters with links to their completed adventures. While the players behind them remain a mystery, they do come from around the world to play in Chatwin.

The Seekers

The Seekers formed in the village of Chatwin at the urging of Loren the Sage. The village had been under the influence of a decades old mystery, "Seekers of the Demon Spirit," which they solved. Having `sought' the truth, they took the name, "The Seekers."

The three original Seekers were:

After the adventure of "The Unicorn" the Seekers gained a companion. He is :

Gork the `Runt' Male Goblin Fighter. He serves the party as a cook and gopher.

When the Seekers traveled to Narwell to investigate the "Nub of the Matter," they were sought out and joined by:

Dristarian Male Elven Ranger. Drist is 5' 9", 150 lbs, with dark blonde hair cut right above the shoulders, and green eyes. He speaks Elven, Dwarven, Halfling. He is a pretty good cook, can find direction, hunt, track, survive in the forest, and tame animals. His clothes are typical of the forest, mottled greens and browns. While traveling through Welkwood, he encountered a dog caught in an old hunter's trap. He freed the animal and now the tan mongrel `Rukh' follows him faithfully everywhere.

In Patchwall, 582, two new members joined the Seekers, as they began

"The Centaur of Attention.", of which they have now completed:

They two newcomers were:

Grumorald "Grummie" Featherfoot, a Male Gnome Ranger, who also owns a small PawnShop within the Knight Owl's Inn. At 4'1," 90lbs, Grummie has shoulder length dark brown hair that is tied back. His skin is tanned and he has oak brown eyes, and a large gnomish nose. What he lacks in height, he more than makes up for in his very outgoing, boisterous, loud, energetic type manner. He can fight in the dark, read/write, ride very well, set snares, and track.

Jutos the Just, a Male Half Orgre Fighter/Priest of Heironeous. Jutos is a war priest from somewhere along the Wild Coast, Jutos, at 7'8," 315 lbs, with short lanky black hair and yellow eyes, has made a big impression on the village. He is skilled in blacksmithing, can out eat most people, has good endurance, is an intimidating figure, and knows much about religion. After this adventure, Jutos left to pursue his studies.

A former member, who joined them on their second adventure, "The Liosalfar," was Pirvan the Brave a Male Human Fighter. Pirvan is 5' 8", 168 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. Before joining the Seekers, he made a living as a house protector. He is proficient in animal lore, fire building, bow and arrow making, rope use, tracking, and setting snares. He has a pet, 'Jo' the hedgehog. The Seekers trip to Narwell, their fourth adventure, brought out his fear of cities, and he left the group.

In 584 they went below the village of Chatwin to solve the mystery of Priestly Secrets.

In CY 585, the Seekers are involved with Lord Blaine in the exploration of Mistmoor Manor. It was during this adventure that they were joined by Seth Bluetick, a Male Human Cleric. Seth is 6', 150 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was a friend of Lord Blaine who got separated from Blaine's original party. When Lord Blaine returned with the Seekers, they bumped into Seth, who had hung around to gather herbs and such. He is rather handy with a sickle. Seth returned to his parents' home north of Chatwin.

Later in 585 they escorted Lord Blaine back to Narwell. There they were recruited by the Baron to look into the disappearance of Prince Edmund of Andevar. Guided by Mallory Thorpe and Fitzwilly Green they returned through Chatwin. At that point a new member joined the Seekers. He was:

Faidrus,  a male half elf paladin/sorcerer of  Wee Jas, who is very handy with a great sword and a lance. He rides a heavy war horse named Jet. He originally  came to Chatwin to speak with Quintos Silverleaf. After about a week's stay, he left the village in the company of the Chatwin Seekers.

Their journey with Mallory and Fitzwilly brought them to Enstad where famed mage Raela teleported them to the southern reaches of Andevar. At the Three Feathers Inn they were joined by:

Feather Haildancer, a quick fingered and silver tongued bard. A beautiful girl in her early twenties, she stands 5'6" with green eyes and straight black hair.  Feather claimed to have met the missing prince, so she joined the group to help them identify him once they found his whereabouts.

The Femmes Fatales

The Femmes Fatales came together by chance. One day, the one known as Black Blade sounded off about how boring she found the village of Enstad. She was quickly informed of the possibility of adventure right under her very nose. Within days, see and the other quickly gathered members were on their way to Lowick to investigate "The Murder of Maury the Miller."
