Just briefly about myself  - 

 

I started out quite many years ago as an electronic engineer and am now serving as the Asia Pacific regional vice president of a Hitachi division in hi-tech material business. Before Hitachi, I worked for Honeywell/AlliedSignal, Groupe Schneider, National Semiconductor, and Siemens. Along my career, I have been in various roles including engineering, manufacturing operation, sales & marketing, intellectual property / technology licensing & transfer, strategic alliance development, mergers & acquisitions, and general management. In terms of sector exposure, I am primarily focusing on technology businesses including semiconductor, electronics, communication, materials, energy distribution, and automation. In terms of geographical coverage, I am mostly running in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, India, Bangladesh, and SEA.

 

 

Currently, my primary business focus is the adoption of energy efficient technologies in electricity transmission and distribution. Energy and the subsequent environmental issues are serious topics for Asian countries as well as for the global society. In the last few years, I have been working with many international bodies and Governments / authorities to cultivate awareness and deploy energy efficient products at country level.

Those efforts are paying off - amorphous metal transformer technology ( My Baby! ), for example, is already helping China and India to gain additional 200,000 tons of carbon dioxide reduction every year at this early phase of adoption. At the current moment, the technology has been widely adopted in the more developed areas in the countries. My focus is now moving towards emerging zones as well as other developing countries in Asia Pacific. With the support from partners across the Globe, I am confident that the technology can help the region to reduce many millions tons of CO2 emission in the next few years.
