Poems of Comfort
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered come live with me. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fading away, we loved you dearly, but could not make you stay. A golden heart stops beating, your hard working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. God will love you and keep you until we meet someday. by Carolyn Marvinetz

On the Loss of Your Brother When you least expect it, something -- a bit of music, a familiar scent -- will bring a memort to mind... In that moment, you'll know that a link remains -- a bridge from the past to the future... And you'll know that the life you loved in some way, goes on forever.
The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand, The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land, The music stops, and yet echoes on in sweet refrain, For every joy that passes something beautiful remains -Submitted to me by Bill, someone else who lost his brother recently.

| You Never Said Goodbye You never said I'm leaving You never said goodbye You were gone before I knew it, And only God knew why A million times I needed you, A million times I cried If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died In life I loved you dearly In death I love you still In my heart you hold a place, That no one could ever fill It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone For part of me went with you, The day God took you home.
