November 10, 2003: Stan Brown signs on as Artist / Tour Manager Publicist with Thundercomm Records (Thunder Communications, Inc. / Thundercomm). Stans first project is putting together Jeromes first tour! October 20, 2003: Thundernews prints review of Jeromes demo cd. Demo cd contains 3-songs from Thinking Out Loud and 2-new songs (demo versions) from Jeromes upcoming album Yeah, Whatever. Heres one of the reviews sent in by bassist Inspector12 of California based band Judge Unger: - "Elephant Graveyard" Trippy. Overdriven 4-string supporting some nasty Stanley-esq soloing. Could be a soundtrack for a Wesley Snipes flick in the 90's. - "Pathlight" Kool arpeggiated bottom. The song is a harmonic bassfest. Some of the bass effects sound like Adrian Belew. - "Midnite Ride" This one probably has the most improvisation as far as soloing goes. Very bluesy, filled with little chromatic runs. - "One Track Mind" (8-string tune, new demo) Busy and filled with kool harmonic ringing. It's funky mellow. Lot's of chord melody. Nice piece. - "Tadis" (8-string tune, new demo) Oh yeah I'm diggin' this one. An 8-string arpeggiated foundation supports a kool melody 8-string. Sweet! The faint keyboard splashes add a nice color, but don't take away from the ringing 8ers. During Jerome's soloing I hear a Stanley Clarke/ Victor Wooten type of influence here and there. This track is tasty! Since this is a demo, I listened with that in mind. Jerome said he recorded this on a 4-track. He used a drum machine which sounded ok on a couple of tracks and cheesy on others (different machines?) He had some keyboard coloring on some tracks. I really enjoyed the 8er tracks the most. It's intersting to see that Jerome seemed destined to play multi-string basses when you listen to the 4-string tracks. Jerome is a fine musician and composer. Kool J, thanks for sending me your tunes! - Inspector12 www.judgeunger.com October 8, 2003: Dates coming up with Wrecked Overture, One Flite Up, and my solo band. One Flite Up - 10/11 @ Webster Biker Rally, 10/12 Crystal River Harley shop, 10/18 private gig, 10/31 Tin Cup downtown Ocala, 11/01 Tin Cup. Wrecked Overture 10/17 Ormand Beach. Solo band 11/15 Fender Appreciation Day @ Music Central Leesburg. More info coming. Later - Jerome August 17, 2003: Hi, more updates. Wrecked Overture is still auditioning drummers. In the mean time, I've been working with drummer Joe Tappeiner and keyboardist Wayne Cote on my solo stuff. Also, started recording demo's for new solo album tentively titled "Yeah Whatever". Later, - Jerome July 1, 2003: Look for new site updates, newly redesigned tour-dates pages, and expanded photo pages coming soon!!!!!!!!!! June 12, 2003: Hey All!! Just writing to give a bit of an update. I've been writing kind of a journal that will appear on both my site, and Wrecked Overture's site. You'll be seeing a link soon.
