| Observations - the fourth year Well, I'm a little over a fours years year old now. Part of the wisdom I have achieved over the years is that there is always more to learn. If you need to learn - that is, catch up to me - feel free to look at my profound thoughts over the past few years. First year observations Second year observations Third year observations If you're all caught up then read on to catch up on my latest and greatest exploits. As usual I'm quite behind in my journal entries so they'll be a bit more condensed than they have been in the past. Winter 2004 Well I met a new friend. It's a young husky pup named Bear that lives with Tasha and her staff. He's a bit rambunctious and I need to knock him down every now and then. He has this habit of grabbing onto my throat or my ears. I have a big ruff of fur on the throat so that's not a problem but dang those ears can hurt. April to mid-June 2004 Getting out every day for my exercise. A new pup friend of mine, Destinee, visited for a few days. Did a lot of chasing and wrestling. Hanging out with the youngsters is fun. Of course, the oldsters are fun too. Buddy braves the shocks of his invisible fence to come over and play in the backyard. He seems to be good at escape but he's been kind of a disappointment in breaking us out of my backyard. I would think a visible fence would be easier to deal with than an invisible one but apparently that is not the case. Very sad news in May. My first and best friend, Elmo, passed away. He'll be greatly missed. mid-June to July 2004 Well it's been a cooler summer so far. As a result we haven't been swimming as often as we usually go. Which is just as well since the last couple of times I've got a jellyfish in the mouth. I can't close my mouth over the tennis ball and my mouth is usually just below the surface. Apparently this is just the right height for skimming jellyfish into your mouth....if you're into that sort of thing......and I'm definitely not! I've been abandoned by the staff a couple of times this summer as he vacationed. I would normally complain but I got to hang out for a weekend with three collie ladies: Angel, Shadow and the aforementioned Destinee who is now bigger than me. More dog speak Bark - OUCH! I got a jellyfish in my mouth. Bark - I'm pretty certain ice cream will kill the pain. Bark - It will need to be a large dose of medicinal ice cream Bark - I'll probably need a few doses Bark - (nothing really...I just learned this mindless noisemaking while hanging out with the collie ladies one weekend) |
