Jani gazed over at her sleeping white dragon. How had she been so lucky to impress such a wonderful creature? Gerigiath was now full grown, and about the size of a green weyrling. That just made her more manuverable fighting thread.

As she admired her life-mate, Jani realized she hadn't taken the time to draw a picture of Gerigiath since she graduated to the weyrling classes. Quickly she found her drawing tools and began working. As long as the white slept she could work. Gerigiath would want to eat as soon as she woke up and Jani might not be able to finish for a while since thread was due tomorrow.

Just as she put the final touches on the wings, the dainty creature began to stir. Satisfied with the drawing, Jani placed it with the rest of her work on the small table.

Moving to Gerigiath's side, she gently scratched her eye-ridges as the white slowly awoke from her nap.
