OMG, where does the time go???!!!! It's been four months since I updated this.  You all have probably given up on me so maybe this update is for nothing.  My new laptop won't let me use this website and since I hate the old computer this site never gets updated anymore.  My apologies!  Now, where do I start on updating you....
We had a great holiday season and hope you did as well.  My dad, stepmom and stepsister joined us for Christmas.  The kids were REALLY into Christmas this year since they figured out the whole Santa and presents thing.  The weekend after Christmas, Jeff and I went to a SF 49ers vs. Redskins football game.  The girls got to stay with Nana while we had fun experiencing an NFL game live.  What a production!  For New Years we hosted a playgroup dinner at our house and celebrated with the East Coast so the kids could participate.  Then a group of us went to the snow for a play day a few days later.  It was a lot of fun.  It's amazing that we've stuck together for over 5 years now with the same bunch of families...we truly are lucky!
This week Lily started Tiny Tots, the preschool program through the local recreation department that Hazel went through.  Only this time I am the teacher!  The normal teacher is having knee replacement surgery so for the next 4 months or so I am teaching the class!  She is doing great with sharing me with the other kids...in fact I hardly interact with her at all.  She loves it though and doesn't want to leave when class is over.  The first day was a little crazy for me since there were nearly twice as many kids as I had expected...and they showed up early - before I was ready.  But by the second day it was all under control and a whole lot of fun.  There are 20 kids and it's for 2 hours 2 days a week.
Hazel lost her first tooth last weekend.  The Tooth Fairy brought her a 2 dollar bill.  She also left a crisp dollar bill at Grandpa Jack's.  Hazel is enjoying Kindergarten and has started reading.  She has quite a few words memorized and is starting to sound things out.  She also has spelling tests each week.  It is really amazing what she has learned so far.  I work in her class every other week and am amazed at what they are working on each time.  She's growing up so fast!  She is obsessed with being like Elise and being around Elise.  Today she rode a horse and a sheep at Elise's grandparents' house.  She was on cloud nine.
Elise is still plugging away at 8th grade.  Her grades have been a real sore spot this year.  Hopefully she figures out how to balance her school work.  I can't believe she is about to turn 15 in just 2 more months!  She has her teenage moments but she's great with Hazel and spends quite a bit of time with her.
Jeff is still working at his same job...even though the company name has changed a few times.  He celebrated 10 years with the company last month.  The company has laid off a handful of people and postponed raises/bonuses due to the current economic situation.  We are just thankful he still has a job and hope that will continue.
I will be working for the same CPA firm again this tax season starting sometime in February.  It's nice to keep current with that since I spent so many years getting that title.  I"m still selling Tupperware and repromoted to manager recently.  Sales have been surprisingly good lately so I'm happy about that.
Well I have lots of pictures to put on so I better go do that!
