| March 28, 2004 Went down to Caribou Carnival today with the kids. We had a good time. Checked out the sled races of course, man oh man there were a couple bad accidents there. One guy, I think it was Darcy Robinson, cleared his sled, but the sled flipped, and (I heard) he was knocked unconcious, so off to the hospital he went. Then another guy rolled his sled (if I remember right) scary stuff. Travy did good tho I think. He wasn't as impressed with himself as last weekend tho.But he DID win the blindfold race.The sledders were blindfolded(well Trav had duct tape over his helmet, and someone sitting behind them guiding them so to speak and had to make it around the track. LOL. That was a sight! But it seemed like Caribou Carnival was a LOT more organized than I have seen in a long time. So that was refreshing. Met up with Jason and Kerri (my ssi micro girl! LOL). So I leave in15 days for my buying show! I'M SO EXCITED! Although I'm sick today. I have to say that I'm so glad that blistex is around!I make it a point to make sure that I ALWAYS have blistex around when I'm sick. Reason, and no I'm not a freak..but when you blow your nose over and over and over and it gets red, and hurting. Put blistex (from the blue tub thing) on your nose. Think about it.Your nose is chapped..just like your lips get right, so unchap it. Ahhhh it feels so darn good to have on your nose. Trust me you'll thank me for it someday. All of my friends think I'm a freak.Oh but if you plan on going out to the bar, where they have black lights, do NOT i reapeat do NOT put it on your nose, lips, anywhere, it glows. Bet you didn't know that either did you!I'm just a WEALTH of information! Other than that what can I tell you. I downloaded a few tunes today from edonkey. I love that song by Michelle Branch well, Santana featuring Michelle Branch-Game of Love. John Mayer, "bigger than my body". Oh I forgot to tell ya bout my Guitar lessons. I went for my lesson on Tuesday, and walked into his house, and he was with someone, so that's fine, I waited. Then next thing you know he finally got done, the person left, and I put my hand out with $$ that I owed for my lessons. So he says "oh no you keep it, we have a situation here" So long story short. I remembered him telling me that I should come pay him after spring break.He told me that he told me to come pay BEFORE spring break. So thus, he gave my spot away.He was talkin to me like I was one of his grade 5 students. And I didn't realize that till I left. So I said here is the money for the lessons that I DID take.and He said no you don't have to, I thought to myself "i'm gonna take control of this situation, he's not going to be in control" so I said, no that's fine, misunderstanding on my part, here is the money for the lessons that I did take, and could you please put me back on the list for when you have another opening GRRR Ta ta till tomorrow! March 21, 2004 Well yesterday we went down to the sled races. It was pretty good. I hooked up with TracEy and her kids and her sis and sis's hubby, and we went down. There were a lot of accidents tho, the ambulance was there steady, so that was kinda shitty, but oh well. Travis was racing (TracEy's brother) and Craig was racing and Charlie, and Liz. So there were a few people we knew, and got to watch. We stayed down there for a couple of hours. We are going to head out today to try and catch the snowcross, so that should be fun. I have to say that I don't know a lot about sleds, or bikes or anything like that, but I've always been intrested in them. Someday I'll get one! I was talking to Craig, and he's only doing the snowcross, bad knees, so that's kinda crappy for him seeing as this is his passion. Hopefully he'll get them all tweeked up and he'll be good to go. We had to use Craig er, his truck and go warm up once, he had his truck right close to where the races were, so we did that, then popped back out there for a while longer. I was talkin to Rodger (Criag's brother) and he was saying there were so many accidents that it was getting frustrated. It was really laggin the races. But I would imagine it's to be expected seeing as it's a "dangerous" sport so to speak. Charlie was havin some problems with his clutch sticking, so he was pretty frustrated, Trish ran up to Canadian Tire to pick up a new one for him, and hopefully he got it going. Too bad we had to leave before Trav raced,. I was lookin forward to seein him race. It's kinda funny seeing as he has always been the "little" brother, and now here he is just about 18 racing sleds with all these people I have known for years! LOL..I'm gettin OLD!!!! LOL Fun tho. Anyway, so we hung there with TracEy for a while, then we had to go to pick Kady and Dray up, seeing as they had no interest in it, well Kady didn't, I just didn't want to chase Dray around, I wanted to watch! LOL Other than that things were good. It was actually pretty nice out on the ice, couldn't complain! So I'll update more when we get home from the races. Talk to you then :) March 20,2004 Shoot, I just wrote an entry and somehow shut down the page before saving it..grrr March 19, 2004 Well, it's my old dog's birthday today. Lets see she's not with us anymore, nor has she been for the last probably over 10 years..maybe it's been 15! But I still remember her birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY! Poor thing, she was a good dog. I was informed how slack I'm getting updating my journal. I SUCK! Oh well, I'm ok with that, I'll try and do better, I SWEAR! So a bunch of us went out on Sat, as a "PRE Jae's Birthday". See we are unable to celebrate the day it really is her birthday the 26, so we did a pre thing. G's you know I used to be so creative. One time I had a half birthday, man was that fun. I was thinkin about that the other day. I had half a cake, some of my friends brought half birthday cars, and we had a blast! I think I'm havin a mid life crisis, I keep thinking all about the "old" days, which is a good thing in some aspects, but bad in others...oh well, I'll get over it someday! So how does my site look? I'm trying to find new and interesting things for my site. I really want to get a really rad site. Cindy has shown me a few cool things, I just have to get her to help me put my journal on the front page so that you my devoted readers...LOL, poor people, don't have to have anymore pain and you can just click once. Anyway, it's going to be my friend Mike's Birthday on the 23, I put a thing in the paper for him..LOL..oh it's WAY too funny. Boy oh boy I love Troy.. OH here's some thought for you. My friend Dawn the Swan, her little bro is a musician. We were talking on messenger last night, and he was talking about writing songs (actually I'm not sure how we got on the topic, but anyway) so I told him I'd write a song for him. He said he'd be upfor it, so I wrote a song last night, it was weird it just rolled out of my head. So I emailed it to Dev, and am waiting to hear the verdict. I told him, remember I have NEVER written a song before (althought I am really interested in music, I didn't realize THAT until this year!!!) I told him I was kinda like William Hung, that was on American Idol. He told the judges that he had now training and they kinda laughed..OH REALLY!!! LOL. Too funny Anyway, I'll let you konw how it turns out, maybe my writing will be his first hit!! Wouldn't that be tres cool! Things are good, Steve just got back from Edmonton, him and his cousin went down to the Edmonton Colorado game. What a great Christmas present. I think they had fun. I have that "HEY YA" song by Outkast in my heaf So I went and bought the CD...a double CD, for one STINKIN SONG! GOD I'M STUPID SOMETIMES! Oh well. Maybe someday they will have another good song that will hit the charts, and then I'll like that one too..LOL Anyway what else can I tell you...I'm tired. TIRED TIRED TIRED TIRED! My kids were up early, well everyday seems early. I don't know how people who have 4 and 5, and 124235656 kids do it. I don't know how I DO IT somedays.It's hard being parent that's forsure.
