I could say the same to you, retorted Loyo in an amused tone, since you act the exact same way around her rider.
"I do not act like a love-struck..." began T'len. Then Ritana walked up to her dragon and he just stared at her with an intent expression on his face. His dragon snickered into his mind, but he ignored it, intent upon the greenrider. Her rich brown hair glittered like her dragon's hide in the sunlight, with the colors of red, gold, and brown in all shades imaginable. He knew that her green eyes would be sparkling too, even though he couldn't see them from his precarious perch on Loyo's tail. Her whole being sparkled like an emerald, the only stone properly suited to her ready laugh and good nature. Now who's infatuated, asked his dragon smugly. Then before his rider could come up with an answer, he said, Let's sign up for their flight. At his riders confused look, he sighed. Didn't you know that Jhacath was rising? Can't you tell that her hide is even more brilliant than usual? Her attitude a bit more snappish? She'll fly soon, and I'd like to be the one to catch her. All of this came a little fast for him. "You want to participate? In her flight?" Loyo nodded patiently, giving time for to register in his his rider's mind. "Well, sure! Why not? You're mature now, and perfectly able to outlast anyone else in a flight." My thoughts exactly. Now, let's go find the Weyrwoman. T'len nodded and began walking towards the lowar caverns, still watching the green and her rider out of the corner of his eye. |
