Jen Berger's Homepage

I am 28 years old and live with my husband in Porter Ranch. I am the Director of Information & Technology at Chatsworth Hills Academy. It is a small, non-denominational school, and I have worked there in different capacities for over 5 years. I received my undergraduate degree in Child Development from Cal State Northridge in 2000, but after college I found that I enjoy working with computers and technology a great deal. I am very happy to have found a career where I can use my experience and education and mesh it with a passion.

My Teaching Philosophy

I am a strong believer in the theory of Multiple Intelligences; Children do not all learn the same, therefore they need to be treated differently in the classroom. Teachers need to be able to adjust their teaching styles so each child learns to their maximum potential. It is also important to highlight each child's strengths in order to give them the confidence that allows them to succeed in the classroom.

EED 602

I am taking EED 602 as part of the Instructional Technology master's cohort. I am hoping to obtain my MA in Education with the focus on Instructional Technology so I can help teachers integrate technology into their classroom curriculum. This class will help give me the tools necessary to be able to reach that goal. I will be able to help teachers enhance their lessons, communicate with parents and calculate grades more efficiently.
