 Welcome to the Heraldry Pages! Hold heraldry (and that of the Weyrs and Crafts, although Hold Heraldry is all that is currently dealt with here) is essential for identification. Knowing where someone hails from identifies them as friend or foe, someone to be trusted or someone to be watched. Where you're from and what rank you are can be identified from the badges and rank cords you wear. This page will deal primarily with the design of shields for the Holds, but if you would like me to do more, let me know and I'll do my best.
