It’s Friday morning.

Winter Camp has just begun.

I thought Moe (pictured), Bill and I were just going a couple hundred yards to get some fresh coffee in the old cabin.

The next thing I know, we’re way down in the valley and I’m trying to figure out where the cabin is and exactly how to get back.

“No Problem” says Moe. “Follow Me!”

Soon we were neck deep in deer briars and wild rose. But that’s not a bad thing.

The painful tearing of my skin on the sharp briars allowed me to focus my thoughts about some very specific revenge plans for the days and nights ahead.

Land Ho!

From this vantage point, our fearless leader spotted a way back home.

I never did get any coffee.

Later we found what looked to be dog prints near an area where I had hear barking the night before.

The disk golf course was busy most of the weekend.

Play was challenging because of the wind.

On Saturday, Dave and John decided to cut down a tree that had partially fallen across the fairway for hole #18.

They were able to get it stablized, but because the crown was heavily tangled in other trees, it did not fall.

It took a wind storm, about a week after Winter Camp ended, to shake it loose, and bring it to the ground.  (seen to the left).

The crown of the fallen tree has fallen across the fairway for hole #8.  So until we’re able to clear it way, there is an additional hazard at “The Gauntlet”.

Unfortunately, that same wind storm seems to have caused another tree to break and teeter hazardly.

So there’s still plenty of work to do at disk golf hole #18!
