| A little about me your webmaster and how this site came to be, my name is Jan and I went to school with Dottie but had not seen her or heard from her for almost 35 years. I was working on our class web site, she saw it and contacted me . After talking we discovered we both shared a love for the Lord. I have been going to do a website like this for a long time but never seemed to get around to it, instead I would do them for others, mostly for free like my class site, my way of giving back some of what God has given me. Well out of the Blue Dottie says why don't we do a website together where we can reach out to others and uplift them with prayer and love in their time of need and be uplifted ourselves. I believe everything happens for a reason, First me agreeing to do our class website, then Dottie contacting me after all these years, and now the website, "Our Resting Place". So it is my prayer that this site will be used for the glory of the Lord. |

| Welcome to our Resting Place, we are Dottie Jean and Jan. We will be your hostesses and guides throughout our journey, but we are not the owners~ His name is Jesus Christ and you will meet Him throughout this site and have the opportunity to get to know Him and His everlasting love for you. We are all on a journey which way we choose to go is up to us, but it is only with God that we can truly find the Promise Land. Everything we need is provided. Our passport~the blood of Jesus~was secured for us at Calvary and our guide the ~Holy Spirit~ We will learn much from Him along the way. The Guidebook~the Bible~is crammed full of information about our destinations. But like any Journey we need to stop and rest along the way and it is our hope that you will stop on your Journey and visit with us here at the Resting Place. The Resting Place, is a place where if your life is far from perfect, and you are hurting that you can receive the strength to make it through and the encouragement to continue your journey with God. It does not matter what you have done, God loves you anyway and accepts you as you are. He loved you so much that He chose to hang on the cross so that sins would be forgiven no matter what they are, the nails did not hold Him to the cross LOVE did! The Lord has given us an incredible journey to travel, it is up to us to make the best of it and to choose how we will spend that journey~miserable or in His perfect peace and love. (We choose Love) So take a little time at His Resting Place and see the plan that He has for your life today. We hope you will take the time to sign Our guestbook, leave a prayer request, uplift others and be uplifted... and to visit often to see what we have added. May the Lord bless and keep you.... |
