| JEL Bettas has been in operation since 1999 under several titles including 'WhisperingWings bettas and things' as well as 'Romaricoux Bettas'. JEL, the new name for the operation, are the initials of the founder, Jessica Erle-Lynne. JEL Works with several colour strains and crosses but those closest to the heart of JEL Bettas include Opaque, Yellow, Pastel and Dijon Gaz/Salamanders. Much of JELs stock (approximatly 25-35 adult bettas) comes from Marianne of BCBetta and Kate of Fin-Omenal, as well as Blair of SaltWater Bettas and Tanya Marcoux. The breeding stock in the JEL fish room has been carefully selected and monitored for quality and health, and infact, only a small percentage of fish purchaced with breeding in mind ever make it into the spawning tank.
