Jesus called him for His ministry. He got vision onruining souls and burden regarding their salvation. So he started the ministry with the co-operation of the Pr.Y.S.Deva Sundram, the founder of Jehovah Salvation Church and sadhu G.Devanesan, founder of Athi Pentecost sathya saba Malavilai and worked with them in prayer and light ministry.

One day he got the revelation of Jesus Christ on the cross and again called him for the ministry in singular. So he made a trumpet in tin plate and went into the streets to preach with that trumpet. This way he has been continuing his one man ministry.

He has preached in C.S.I. Churches and salvation Army Churches and continued his ministry. At that time preacher I Justus was the advisor of Pr. Chellan in Kalladimamoodu. During this period he revealed the vision from the Lord to form new Churches. For that he had fasted and prayed for a long and got the revelation on apostalic ministry.

After a long fasting prayer in 1950 he founded the first ministry in ponnan villai, Mathoor which is the firist Church in Aruvikarai Village. The place of his first church was in his native place. Then he wanted to change the place of worship and he built in mathoor parai near Bus stand.

Continuing that, he formed the head quarter in Kalladimamoodu in a thatched shed. He bought some own place near by and built a good church in the same Kalladimamoodu which is the present Head quarter church.  

In the above two churches multitute came, got cured from their diseases. One lady named Rajamma from Kuppatharai attented Prayers in the above two Churches regularly for her illness. She got cured, and through her the Kuppatharai Branch church was formed. Now it is growing well.

Then throughout the Kanyakumari District many Jehovah Churches were started and the services were conducted in the sheds. At that time only few Evangelists (Pr. Chellappa, Viricode, Chellakan) and mothers Kamalatchi, Chellachi, Esther, Daisy were in this Jehovah Church.

God did many miracles through signs and wonders through Pr.B.Chellan for the glory of His name. And many other pastors were joined in the Jehovah Church. Thus the church was started to grow gradually and many were got benefits in spiritual as well as physical.

The word of God spreaded more and more though Jehovah Church and many branches were started in Kerela as well as other parts of Tamil Nadu. Many gave their property in free of cost to build churches. During Sadhu B.Chellans time many of its branch were having only sheds.
