Where do you find Glaciers?
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
    Most of the world's glacial ice is found in Antarctica and Greenland because of the low temperatures and high amount of snowfall needed for a glacier. Although glaciers are found on nearly every continent. Certain climate conditions and geographical conditions must be present for glaciers to exist. Most glaciers are commonly found above snow line regions where there is high snowfall in winter, and cool temperatures in summer so there isnt massive snow melting. The snowline is the elevation above which ice and snow remain throughout the year. Also most glaciers are found either in mountainous areas or the polar-regions because glaciers need cold weather patterns, cold temperatures, and very little melting of snow, all which are characterized in polar-regions. Latitude helps form glaciers because the latitude usually decides where the Ice Berg is moving also. Altitude can affect where a glacier forms because in high altitudes there is a greater possibility that the snowfall in the region will far exceed the amount of snow and ice that melts in a given summer, which causes glaciers. Also altitude affects if a glaciers where a glacier forms because the only reason that there are glaciers in some of the warmer regions is because they fall on higher altitudes, where the air temperature is low.
