Wedding Dinner Photos
This is a traditional Chinese banner graciously supplied by Gale's parents. The character here is Xi (pronounced shee). Actually its two Xi's side-by-side. The character stands for happiness. The two characters are doubled happiness--a great wedding sentiment!

The dinner took place in the back room of Escofier in Ann Arbor. They did a good job, but the room was just a wee bit small for us.

The cake: chocolate with raspberry filling. Yum! We have high hopes that the leftovers will last for our first anniversary...

For some reason, it was hard to get photos where both of us were paying attention at the same time. With another nod to China, Gale changed into a different gown for the dinner. This is a Chi-Pao (sp?), traditional Mandarin dress which also has some family history as Mrs Tang wore it for her engagement with Mr Tang.

The ritual slaying of the cake. It never knew what hit it.

Maybe I can get Scott to add the details of his toast.

And the actual toasting activity...

And that's it for our photographer's efforts. At some point I'll add in a few good ones that have been forwarded from the numerous amateur photographers that we have in the family.
Cody summarizes the cats' feelings on the wedding:

"Yummy. But quit trying to put silly things around my neck."
