What do we do with our funds?

Each Pheasants Forever chapter maintains local control of its' habitat funds.  This means that 100% of the net funds raised by chapters remains at the chapter level for local habitat projects enabling those who belong to and support Pheasants Forever to see the direct results of their contributions.

In our first year, 19 food plots were planted and 10 acres of standing corn next to the Jefferson Marsh was purchased to be left unharvested for wintering wildlife.  A successful banquet in October of 1988 enabled us to increase our efforts three-fold.  The spring of 1989 we were able to establish 186 acres in feed plots and 6 acres in switchgrass for nesting habitat.  Since that time the Jefferson County Chapter has continued to move forward with leaps and bounds as it continues to provide additional habitat for wildlife of all kinds.

Remember, money raised by Jefferson County Pheasants Forever is used
EXCLUSIVELY for conservation efforts in Jefferson County!  We need and encourage support form all sports-minded individuals and businesses.  The future of Jefferson County's resources are in your hands!
