During Dana 44 Axle Swap - Fall 2002

The rear axle is a Dana 44 from a 1979 IH Scout II. The front axle is a Dana 44 from a 1977 Jeep Cherokee. On the front axle, I used Chevy spindles, Ford F150 rotors, and the original calipers to achieve the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. I also went Spring-over with YJ leaves all around. I added a leaf to all spring packs. I out-boarded the front leaves to keep the stock axle widths. One day, I'll get around to installing the 4.56 gear sets that are in my shop! Many thanks to Scott at Rockstomper who was a tremendous help during this swap! Feel free to email me with any questions regarding this type of swap.
