Sleeping Beauty fair
Gold of sunshine in your hair
Lips that shame the red, red rose
Dreaming of true love in slumber repose
One day he will come
Riding out of the dawn
And you'll awaken to love's first kiss
Till then, Sleeping Beauty, sleep on
One day you'll awaken to love's first kiss
Till then, Sleeping Beauty, sleep on.
With the help of the good fairies, who armed him with a sword of truth and a shield of virtue, Philip, inspired by the purity of his beloved sleeping in the tallest tower of the castle, escaped from Maleficent's dungeon, did battle with her minions, and finally confronted the evil sorceress who had transformed herself into a frightening dragon.  While the battle was fierce, Philip's sword flew swift and true so that good may triumph and endure.  Maleficent was dead, and Philip raced to the tower to awaken his sleeping Beauty.  And so, Aurora awoke to love's first kiss and smiled when she realized that the Prince she was betrothed to was the very same man she had fallen in love with Once Upon a Dream.
And while Flora and Merryweather fight over the color of Aurora's dress, we see that truth, virtue, and good will triumph over evil in the end because true love conquers all.
