Our biggest news of the year is the addition of  another beautiful baby boy to our family!  Joseph Samuel Flores joined us on the 28th of June.  I think brotherly competition is going to be a big thing in our house.  Joseph beat Daniel by  being one day later and one pound more than Daniel was.  We proudly named him after Father Joe Ferraro and Sam Flores.


Daniel loves playing big brother.  He's a little rougher than I'd like sometimes, but I try to stand back as much as possible.  At first he thought Joseph was a little boring, but now that his little brother finds him funny, he does just about anything to get a smile out of him.  Joseph will look for Daniel as soon as he hears him enter the room.  Daniel is always rewarded with a huge smile and even a little giggle lately.

I just took this today (October 8th).  Here's Joseph in his teddy outfit fresh off of my knitting needles.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  You can't even see the ears.  He looks SO cute in this thing.  It'll be nice and roomy to keep him warm here in chilly Germany this winter.  It's merino wool, so soft and toasty.

 
 
 

Joseph's baptism was a joyous event. It was very special with Fr. Joe here to celebrate it with us. He brought water from the Jordan River (he was just in Jerusalem last week) to baptize Joseph with! Very cool. Here's a photo that our buddy Rex took. It doesn't show Godfather Mike, but as soon as I get the photos developed I'll put them up here also. In the photo from left to right is Stephen and Maria (Godmama)Bessasparis (Maria's holding Joseph of course), me (horrible picture) and Dan.
