The Colonel's Bequest was first released in 1989, starring the never seen before Laura Bow, a young woman training to be a reporter. The game was a hit, using a all together different game play then used in any of Roberta Williams' previous games. Depending on what you did, there would be a different ending. I quite enjoyed this feature, and am disapointed it's only been used in the Dagger Of Amon Ra and to some extent in KQ6, after this.
In the introduction, Laura is asked by her good friend, Lillian Prune to accompany her to a sort of 'family reunion' at her Uncle's place, s run down mansion on an old plantation island, Laura grudgingly accepts. On arrival Laura feels as though something's not right, when she finds the first murder victim! Stranger even as soon as the bodies are found, they strangely disapear, leaving Laura to solve the mystery, of the Colonel's Bequest.
