Characters Of The Colonel's Bequest

Colonel Henri Dijon
Colonel Henri Dijon is a reclusive, eccentric old man, who lives alone on an island, with only his servents and pets to keep him company. Although he is rich (how rich is uncertain), he is very tight about where to spend his money, so much so, that his estate is in a perpetual state of decay. He's the older brother of Ethel Prune and brother in law of Gertrude Dijon. In his younger days, he served with the American Army and was somewhat of a war hero. It isn't clear whether or not he was ever married all though it's not very likely. When he invited all his living relatives to his place to announce the status of his will, he made it look as though he was sicker then he really was, to see how loyal his family would be to him, and the rest of the family, in the face of great financial gain.
Ethel Prune
Ethel Prune is the mother of Lillian and younger sister of the Colonel. She is very wimpery and whinny and is well known through out the family as such. After her husband's untimely death, she took up drinking as a way to escape, and she can be seen stumbling around Henri's island in such a state until she is murdered by her own daughter, Lillian.
Gertrude Dijon
Gertrude Dijon is the snobbish widow, of the Colonel's brother and the mother of Gloria and Rudy. She a money grubber and very bossy, not unlike the Colenol himself, although more high class, and open about spending then he is. She is very fond of jewlery and can constantly be found wearing a necklace of pearls. We don't get to know Gertrude very well, since she's the first one to die, being pushed from an upstairs window, by Lillian.
Lillian Prune
Lillian Prune was Laura's friend and classmate at Tulane University. She is the only child of Ethel Prune and spent part of her childhood being raised by her uncle, Colonel Henri Dijon, due to her father's untimely death and her mother's increasing need for alchohol. She was very rebelious, dating several men at the same time, (otherwise known as a player), aswell as drinking and smoking. When her uncle began mistrusting her and treating her like his other relatives, (with hatred), she began killing her family off out of jealousy, until finally Rudy shot her in self defence.
Gloria Swansong
Gloria is the daughter of Gertie and the sister of Rudy. She was a Hollywood actress, who'd gotten into some trouble, and was suffering from some sort of disease. Dispite this, she still enjoyed a glamorous hollywood lifestyle. Gloria loved money, jewelery and rich boyfriends, (she even had an affair with Clarence for a short while), before her death at the hand of her cousin, Lillian.
Rudolph Dijon
Rudy is the son of Gertie, the brother of Gloria and the nephew of Henri. He's very slick, (a little TO slick, if you ask me!), and it's said he hasn't worked an honest day in his life! He's a womaniser and a gambler, with major money problems. He's very protective of his sister Gloria, and he is often fighting with Clarence, due to their previous relationship. After he kills Lillian out of self defence, he decides to complete what she started, by killing the Colonel, and enheriting his riches. Laura however gets in the way, shooting him in the process to protect the old man. (It's not known if he died or was just injured).
Clarence Sparrow
Clarence is Henri's lawyer and a previous lover of Gloria. He's sneaky and does everything he can to get his hands on the Colonel's money. He was involved in a horse race scam with Dr. Feels, in which he lost a large amount his client's riches. He was also after part of Ethel's land, before they were both killed at the hand of Lillian.
Dr. Wilbur C. Feels
Wilbur is the Colonel's longtime personal physician. Some of his practices are questionable and he's known for taking advantage of people in the past. He was involved in a race horse scam with Clarence, before both of their deaths, which was cause for a great deal of arguments between the two. Wilbur is eventually murdered by Lillian.
Fifi
Fifi is the sexy French maid that lives with and "serves" the Colonel. Henri and Fifi were involved up until her death and it's the opinion of many that she was just using him for money. Rudy made several passes on her, but she stedfastly refused him. It's evident that she and Jeeves were also involved before their deaths, by poison again at the hand of Lillian.
Jeeves
Jeeves is the Butler in the Colonel's house and seems to be constantly in a bad mood, but usually remains silent. Before his death, he was involved with Fifi in a very intimite relationship, however the two were poisoned together by Lillian and died in eachother's arms.
Celie
Celie is Henri's Voodoo cook, who was born when the island was still being used as a plantation before the Civil war. She has lived on the island her whole life, and in my opinion is the only character you can actually trust. She is very caring and kind, (she reminds me very much of my grandmother), she is willing to listen and help you in any way. (You have to give her something first, though), and if you complete the game successfully, she becomes the new heir in the Colonel's will.
