Each chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) serves as a central resource for information about Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, about the progress that JDRF and others have made in the search for a cure, and about the local diabetes community.

Under the direction of a volunteer board of directors working with professional staff and volunteers, each JDRF chapter works to raise money to support JDRF’s mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.  This fundraising generally takes the form of Walk to Cure Diabetes events, galas, golf tournaments, and other special events.  Each member of the Chapter Board of Directors is a member of JDRF, Inc.
