| JD'S JAZZ D'SIGN |
I have always wanted to go to New Orleans as I love JAZZ.
I graduated from Massey University in Wellington
with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Composition.
I then studied the one-year Graduate Diploma in High School Teaching.
I am now Head of Music at a local High School, and enjoying the challenges teaching brings.
I play piano, and I love theatre.
I have performed onstage also in musical shows
& revues in New Zealand & Australia-
In the last few years I have produced my own shows .
I am involved in local community theatre Porirua Little Theatre
& most recently, theatre for the intellectually disabled.
I have taught Theatre skills to a group of such teens,
called Mana Stars.
I live in a northern beach suburb of Porirua where we overlook the sea.
My son & I spend a lot of time at the beach.
Poriria is just north of Wellington
the Capital City
of Godzone - New Zealand.
I am actively involved with IHC
- a non-profit NZ based organisation which provides support
& respite to families who support a child with an intellectual disablity.
I belong to the NZ Down Syndrome Assn. also,
which is a support group for families
who have a child with Down Syndrome, as I do.
