JD'S JAZZ D'SIGN

JAZZ

I have graduated at last from Wellington Polytechnic Conservatorium of Music, with a Bachelor of Music (Perf) majoring in Jazz composition.
I enjoy writing & arranging music, and at the Conservatorium I had the privilege of having my music played by some of the best musicians in New Zealand - and that was a REAL BUZZ !!

I also write styles other than jazz, and write & direct musical shows.
I play piano, and have recently joined a local Big Band for fun.
I enjoy a totally diverse range of music styles not limited to jazz alone, and have found a few links on the web which are really useful.

There IS such a thing as jazz in New Zealand !

In Welllington there is a real hard core of enthusiastic, adventurous musicians - a lot of them have been through the Jazz School - the more famous of them teach there !
