We are a non-profit organization that was formed as a direct result of all the young losses, to suicide,
in our community within the last year. More especially the teens who were scared or didnt know how to ask for help.

Lack of support, guidance, education, knowledge, and the inability (or fear) to speak openly about suicide,
has caused a need for this coalition.

Our coalition will bring Mental Health experts, in the field of suicide education, prevention, and intervention
into our community. Through various suicide prevention training programs.
These experts will serve churches, schools, healthcare facilities, mental health professionals,
home health providers, nursing homes throughout George County, Military Veterans of all ages,
Survivors of Suicide, Volunteers, Parents, all community youth programs (Scouts, Sports, etc) and even the justice system.

This training will reduce the stigma of depression, mental illness, and suicide through research, education and life experience,
allow the community, as a whole, to come together and become more aware and compassionate in how to approach someone
who may need help and allow them the knowledge in where to turn for assistance if needed.

Thus, reducing suicide in our community.
