John's Full Service Landscape offers a variety of services to rejuvenate or renovate your lawn.  Other than fertilzing your turf, we also offer aeration and various types of mulches.
Aeration: Aeration is simply a method of punching holes into the turf to allow moisture, oxygen and nutrients to penetrate the soil.  Aeration reduces soil compaction, enhances color, improves water infiltrations, improves the response to fertilizer, improves soil composition, maximizes turf grass rooting and most importantly makes a lawn less susceptible to damange from weeds, insects, drought and disease.

Aeration combined with overseeding is an excellent method for an established lawn to relieve compaction and improve its density.
Mulches: Mulches conserve moisture by preventing evaporation and maintaining even moisture.  The best mulches to retain moisture are pine straw, pine bark mini nuggets, shredded hardwood mulch, or chips.  Fine textured mulches hold moisture better than coarse textured mulches such as large nugget pine bark.  Rock, gravel and marble are not as effective as they absorb and reradiate heat, therefore increasing water loss.
